Barisone assessment

I had a similar discussion with someone just the other day. After all this time on this forum, and after the fascinating trial and delightful verdict, there are a small handful who continue to defend LK to the nth degree. Is it because they think she is simply an innocent victim with zero responsibility in this, so they think she is a shining example of humanity needing to be defended? I don’t get it. As far as I can see on these forums, if there was ever any obsession it was from those who support and defend LK’s behavior regardless.

Hey @cutter99! Thank you! Tried to stay away… and unemployment and more barn time (2-4 horses a day!) and looking for work (someone hire me!) has been meant a nice break from the forums. Tried to lurk and not reply but failed. Lol. How are you??

By the time the civil trial happens, and he moves back to Florida full time, I’m sure he’ll qualify for the homestead exemption. By the time of the civil trial, at the pace this is going, he’ll probably be getting one of the “White House congratulations on your 100th Birthday letters”.

I can only speak for myself and how I felt prior to the trial.

I did see a lot of vitriol here. I don’t disagree with others who point to it. I am pretty sure that there WAS some nasty stuff being said when LK was im a coma. Maybe that colored my opinion, maybe not.

I was an outsider and I thought that (and said that) even if she was bat guano crazy, unless she was armed with a pitchfork or worse, he was 100% culpable.

I had also previously been in very BNT/Olympic barns where what the trainer said went and we all idolized them. I was also in another fairly BNT (non-Olympic) barn where I was emotionally and psychologically abused constantly. Maybe THAT colored my opinion.

I have also disclosed here that I had a family member who was an addict and I didn’t appreciate the things being said about those around LK, and thought they were unfair. Maybe THAT colored my opinion.

Either way… I changed my mind based on fact and evidence. I have also been pretty honest about my own mental health struggles, and they helped me understand MB and the torment he must have gone through. Maybe those so mired to their narrative can’t look at the big picture, can’t look at fact, or have other things coloring their understanding.

It’s rough.

Answering this will just regurgitate everything that has been said over and over and over again the last years… none of these responses are new and any response one will give will not be new… LET IT GO into the ethosphere.

I thought the sarcasm would have been obvious, and omitted the /s. Of course I know she did not intend it as a compliment.

A number of posters, but particularly @trubandloki, have consistently QFPed every post of posters they don’t like —IM, Seeker1, Hut-Ho, and me. I very rarely delete posts, or edit other than to correct grammatical errors. Neither did the other targets of the QFPing, so I disagree with you on that assertion.

I am convinced @trubandloki does this simply to annoy. It doesn’t bother me as a poster, but is annoying to me as a reader. I wonder if she realizes, or cares, that her QFPing probably bothers other posters more than it bothers her target.

5,000 a month for three horses means you are making no money…

Some people sadly enjoy annoying and torturing others.

As I understood things from the trial, he did not clearly state that he wanted her gone until Aug 5, and served the demand to vacate on Aug 6. I wound not consider a clear written demand to vacate in 30 days as “involving the legal system”. If he had clearly given her written notice to vacate in 30 days, on, say, July 1, and she was still there on Aug 1, then it would have involved the legal eviction process.

“Michael’s mistake was assuming she was a normal, rational person”? LKs mistake was assuming Barisone was sane and non delusional. You fault her for failing to realize she was dealing with someone on the edge of a mental breakdown when RC and MHG also failed to recognize his delusional behavior and intercede?

I think she was in the process of arranging a move but wanted to move on her own terms and her own schedule rather than be bullied off the farm in 48 hours. If she had known she was at risk of being shot by a delusional trainer, she probably would have packed out immediately. How was she supposed to know he was capable of shooting her? It was unthinkable.

even two horses …5,000 is not enough. I ride with legitimate FEI trainers and pay close to 3-4 thousand per month when in full training.

When LK and IM kept insisting we would learn the truth for ourselves at the trial, they were 100% correct. Just not the way they thought it be lol.

Oh please! Who is being “tortured” and by whom? Your definition of torture is unique to say the least. A reminder, no one, and I mean NO ONE is forced to come to this specific thread and read the posts or comment.

Then either you didn’t pay attention or you didn’t understand.

I do believe that LK said she heard “them” plotting her murder. Seems logical that, if she heard that, she would be gone ASAP.

Thank you for the correction. I meant “determined to be insane in the context of a criminal trial”, but I can see that “legally insane” makes more sense than “criminally insane”.
