I would be very interested to hear more details on that one. Was she going to the shows ahead of time and bedding all the stalls for them? Stacking the hay? Hanging and filling water buckets?
Only someone who was closely involved in the business as a worker or client at the time could answer those questions. Knowing what we now know about her, it could have easily been part of the ongoing and ever-changing fantasy narrative that LK has constructed for herself.
Am I the only one that finds it absolutely ludicrous that someone should be able to remain in & on someone else property until they deem the terms of leaving are to their satisfaction?
I mean really? I own (or lease) a property. Someone is on it. I want them to leave. They know for months that I no longer want them on my property. But they should be able to blithely remain, while making life as miserable as possible?
I can’t think of a single person who should be okay, much less defend, those actions.
Mi understand protecting tenants rights. But my God this type of scenario should not be allowed anywhere, any time.
My mom is moving into an apt. The previous tenants didn’t leave. They were given 10 days. Still didn’t leave. Eviction will be filed this week. If not out in 5 days, sheriff will escort them off the property. 3 weeks start to finish. That’s how it should be
I wonder if the current tenants of the apartment you’re speaking have a plan to destroy the landlord and terrorize them and call fire marshalls, building inspectors and child protection agencies to cause them problems?
You know, I thought I had seen a ton of destruction and misery inflicted by tenants in that timeframe while I’m waiting for the constables to put them out of my property. But never, in my wildest imagination did I picture this. I’d rather have my building stripped of copper wire, cement in the plumbing and stolen appliances, thank you very much.
According to the rules of that jurisdiction which may or may not include the Sheriff or auction as 2 examples. In the old days folks would say they are tying the horse to a telephone pole but as we are caring horsefolk that’s a horrible option. But it’s just a matter of making the horses go away.
Sorry, I know I’m way behind on this thread, but back in the day, at the boarding barns I worked for with unsophisticated bookkeeping, extra services were always paid directly to the groom or barn worker. It was sort of an incentive system for the workers. You got paid your hourly rate by the barn, but if a client wanted you to clip or braid or wrap or handwalk, you made a separate cash deal with barn worker, with the BO/BMs full approval and encouragement.
High end dressage barn and the horse with cellulitis? Can totally see PayPaling a barn worker for hand walking or wrapping, separate from your boarding contract, when you can’t get to the barn to do it.
Barn workers love the extra $$$ in cash, not reported through the books.
I can also easily see how someone could distort that situation into “I paid the barn staff because the owner wouldn’t.” He could absolutely afford to pay, it’s just a pain in the butt bookkeeping wise, and after taxes and deductions, the barnworker would only net $10 for hand walking or wrapping.
I don’t know but it is now out for the public to consider. If I knew she was a current boarder, I would find another place to go based on her stating she has NPD alone. Forget the past drug use/abuse. NPD = leaving. Quickly and telling people why I left.
Having the drug abusing boyfriend in tow as well is a liability too far. I wouldn’t risk my possessions being kited.
I do not know the Kanareks. I have no influence with AK and the courts in New Jersey or anywhere else. Your continued guessing of identities and ties is amusing and in error.
The local LE did their job regardless of what a few here misrepresent.
I do agree with you, 100 percent. But if I’m not getting my wires crossed, I believe the comment was that she paid their salary for that month or time period. Now I’m wondering exactly what was said, but I can’t remember the origin of the comment. Anyone have any idea where LK originally said she was paying the staff?
And if I’m also not mistaken, RG wrapped a horse twice daily, which was brought up in testimony. Essentially, there were barn hours in place that conflicted with the wrapping schedule. This sticks out to me because I believe the barn closed at 9pm, they wrapped at 9am/9pm, and I found it asinine that RG/LK couldn’t manipulate their schedule by 15 minutes and adhere to barn rules by wrapping at 8:45am/8:45pm. Entirely possible they were paying a groom (etc) for additional services, but I am pretty certain LK said she still paid their salary. I could be wrong.
Misrepresenting? Bah! Hardly! Several here are familiar with law and law enforcement and ALL are in agreement as to the ridiculously terrible forensics done on this case.
