No idea. Just responding to Hut-ho saying that she’s possibly not riding due to her injuries and medical procedures from the shooting.

Except that according to the USEF records, she showed a few times the year after the shooting, in 2020. And there was a video posted on a previous thread of her riding at the farm where she boards in Loxahatchee over this past winter, I believe.

If so, well, I need to pay up because I was inclined towards another, related, personality disorder diagnosis. Someone is getting a half-bushel of crabs.

I just remember her SM posts, not her testifying under oath about it.

Technically she testified under oath that she lies on her SM posts if one wanted to be completely accurate.

And I’m sure if necessary her ex-trainer could be compelled to testify to her time in the saddle as well as progression of training. As far as needing to nap between rides, etc, apparently that’s her typical behavior and always has been even before the shooting.

Other logical scenarios:

-Unplug the dryer, send text regarding concerns
-Unplug the dryer, make phone call regarding concerns
-Unplug the dryer, leave note over electrical socket stating “dryer is broke - do not plug in until fixed”
-Unplug the dryer, place duct tape over electric socket, leave note on dryer stating “do not use”
-Unplug the dryer, leave note on actual dryer that dryer is broken, “do not use”
-unplug dryer, alert barn staff directly not to turn on
-unplug dryer, duct tape door shut, leave note “do not use”
-remove plug from dryer so it can’t be plugged in

Illogical options:

Do nothing. Leave dryer as in, creating perpetual safety concern. Call fire inspectors who are off the property regarding concerns. Wait for fire inspectors delayed response.

I seem to recall that LK or RG testified they heard barn staff chatting about whether the dryer was shutting off promptly. It’s always a potential issue with dryers, some loads you get damp towels and other loads you get them baked. In other words they just grabbed onto something they heard to make trouble.

I recall checking out her (public, at the time) Instagram back around the beginning of the trial and there was a post showing her bronze medal certificate. I don’t remember when the post was from.

She’s also definitely made posts on here to the tune that she had ridden multiple horses every morning before any of us even rolled out of bed, because she lives in Florida and is super duper dedicated etc. Obviously that was back before the trial, and before her LaLa account got banned.

Two questions:

Where was it being stablished that the breast implant was damaged when LK was shot? Was this one of the doctor’s testimony?

And where has it been established that LK has quit riding due to physical therapy on scar tissue? I suspect his one is unsubstantiated.

She stated at one point that her implant saved her life then there have been multiple discussions as to whether that was possible and deflection if one of the bullets off the implant to break the window instead of a third shot breaking the window.

Dressage takes core strength. Her core was perforated and sliced. Her lung collapsed. They went in under her arm to reach the aorta to clamp it when she was bleeding out. They slit her open from stem to stern so her organs could have room to swell and not stop her breathing.

Anyone who has had a C section, mastectomy, radiation, or other core penetrating surgeries or injuries can attest to discomfort afterwards, sometimes something that can be worked through and sometimes debilitating.

I have had both a C section and radical hysterectomy fully opened, and have had no issues returning to riding.

You want to use some core muscles riding- try showing cutting horses!

I do not think her implant saved her life. An implant is made of silicone, not teflon.

Also, when I was 17 I had my abdomen split open through the cutaneous and muscle layers and my intestines pulled from my body and manually explored searching for tumors. A totally invasive abdominal surgery that in no way impeded my ability to ride after recovery. Abdominal incisions are not necessarily debilitating, despite invasiveness. It is case by case and certainly not something you would know for certain without knowing LK personally and the outcome of her surgery. So I assume, once again, this is all speculation.

You are mistaken. That small number of posters arrived after the thread took a mean turn. Maybe if the comments stayed about the trials and not about attacking people, it could stay strictly about the trial.

Okay, I frankly do not believe I am “mistaken”, but I’ll bite. Which post(s) specifically do you think signify a “mean turn”? And how are said post(s) “mean”?

Just following up. Have you had sufficient time to research? I’m still curious!

Well, true… I certainly take the part about how dedicated she is with an entire truckload of salt. But the bronze medal certificate photo at least appeared legit, so she must have been able to ride adequately well to finish getting her scores, despite her surgeries.

For what it’s worth I know EXACTLY what thoracic surgery feels like. I was opened up due to Stage 2 Lung Cancer. They went in on my side, pulled my lung out, deflated it, chopped it in half to make sure they got it all, cut out a dozen lymph nodes, stitched it all up and shoved it back in.

There was very little pain except for pulling out the drainage hose. But they yank that sucker out in one hard fell swoop so you only feel death for like 3 seconds. 30 days after surgery I began several rounds of the strongest chemo they can give a person as adjuvant chemotherapy. It was the chemo that was the hard part.

The wounds were fine as were the wounds from ripping out my ovaries after a giant ovarian cyst.

So there you go.

Am I the only one that finds it absolutely ludicrous that someone should be able to remain in & on someone else property until they deem the terms of leaving are to their satisfaction?

I mean really? I own (or lease) a property. Someone is on it. I want them to leave. They know for months that I no longer want them on my property. But they should be able to blithely remain, while making life as miserable as possible?

I can’t think of a single person who should be okay, much less defend, those actions.

Mi understand protecting tenants rights. But my God this type of scenario should not be allowed anywhere, any time.

My mom is moving into an apt. The previous tenants didn’t leave. They were given 10 days. Still didn’t leave. Eviction will be filed this week. If not out in 5 days, sheriff will escort them off the property. 3 weeks start to finish. That’s how it should be

Agree. I don’t understand any of this. She should have left. If not, he should have evicted her. It was all so unnecessary and sad.

Add to that he was beaten to a pulp while being forced to involuntarily play a game of Bizarro Stratego while being stalked by the Suboxone Ninja while being sleep deprived trying to protect his customers horses from harm and who knows maybe a barn fire?

Two grown adults who don’t know how to unplug a dryer. One of them is supposedly capable of renovating a house too. Instead he painted himself unto a corner.

I suspect they were “worried about the dryer” while sneaking around the barn when they shouldn’t be. Planning to break into the locked office to falsify documents and bust into the gun safe too was also part of their planned activities. Date night looks very different for some people.

If they were banned from the barn after hours then who was to unplug the dryer? They have to sneak in to unplug the dryer? In the workout black dance attire the worker dubbed a ninja outfit?
