Barisone assessment

Thank goodness someone else was willing to help tackle that task, since it is obviously quite necessary due to the faulty memories of some of the posters here.

No wonder LK missed lessons. She was very busy digging through COTH posts.

Priorities, people.

Good point. I think we’ve all had a master class in how reliable that poster’s recall is, even when - especially when? - they insist with lots of detail how right they are - the wording, the caps, how horrified they were (oh, the drama!).

Reminds me when I was attacked and two other posters were drawn in by the favoured tactic of tagging. Both those other posters were like, yeah, no, we don’t remember it that way at all and you’re claiming we were the targets - leave us out of your weird, creepy vendetta.

It was a particularly hilarious failure to have the folks who were tagged say (i) the attack was inaccurate, and (ii) not to invoke their names in order to attack me.

The fact that two of us are chummy now is just the cherry on that fail sundae! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Never a bad thing to have more friends.
Having a good story to explain ‘how did you two meet’ only makes it better.

I don’t have to live with anything. Let me make this very clear to you, I. DID. NOT. POST. ABOUT. ANY. BREAST. IMPLANTS. BEING. FIXED. Got it?!

I REALLY don’t appreciate slander @CurrentlyHorseless under any circumstances and I take this veryseriously. Your inability to admit a mistake speaks volumes to me and others. Zero respect. Just like little mother, DO NOT COMMENT ABOUT ME OR REPLY TO ME AGAIN. Capish?

Yes but then you just take out one little bit to quibble about which misses the point of the post.

Thank you for your kind words. I sometimes still go down the “what-if” rabbit hole when I think of her, which can’t change anything. When she died back in the 1980s, the recovery pools weren’t widespread.

My last memories of her were when we were waiting for another vet to arrive to verify the extent of the injury prior to euthanasia. I was sitting on the recovery room floor with her head in my lap. She was highly drugged with pain killers, but she would still occasionally lift her head to bite the right hind hoof that was sticking out from under her abdomen, trying to let me know there was something wrong with it. :sob:

Thanks again to all for the condolences.

Well, LLPR was a frequent user of ALL CAPS in her rants and rages that shut threads down - so maybe it was also Someone Else’s CAP YELLING that contributed to the demise of a thread… that got mixed up with yet Another Someone Else’s boob comments. And nether one of them were eggbutt. As Spock would say… fascinating.

So to recap - this heinous post…

Eggbutt shouting “I HOPE YOU GOT YOUR BOOB FIXED!”

…was not eggbutt. It did not even get “cleaned up” or “deleted”… by mods or anyone else.

At least CH apologized for this…

I don’t have a phenomenal memory, or even an above average memory. I do, absolutely, remember seeing it, and the only reason I would remember a post is because of the over the top nastiness. I remember it was in all caps.

Who would have cleaned it up or deleted it? Well, either you or the mods, obv.

…so good job, obv.

Could be that the brighter the color the healthier the bird for various reasons.

Like male peacock feathers - resource-rich birds have brighter plumage, larger, etc.

I’m so sorry. When did this happen?

She was foaled in 1981 and I lost her in 1986.

It does not matter how long ago it was - memories like that still haunt you as if it happened only last week. :two_hearts:

Huh? The original quote was still there. No QFPIng necessary.

Besides, if GreenWithEnvy, or any poster makes a nasty comment and thinks better if it, why shouldn’t they be able to edit it or delete it?

Actually, the rest of the post is still there.

See the little arrow in the top right corner? image

Click on that and you can see the rest of the post. The part specifically copied to quote is highlighted in green.

ETA that is what the poster was responding to, in this case the rest of the post really wasn’t necessary, but still there if someone wanted to see it.

That is awful. I watched my horse’s surgery too and explained what was happening to my friend, then burst into tears, calming down to explain more stuff, crying…

Lather, rinse, repeat.

We were phenomenally lucky and I know it. I am so very sorry your girl was not. It just isn’t fair.

I’m so sorry. It seems most of us have had that one special horse that is gone and we lost a huge part of our heart and spirit. My boy was not yet 2. EPM and a mistake by a flawed vet cost him his recovery. I cry every day and feel the pain constantly. :broken_heart: sincere hugs to you.
