I too am crying. I hope all RG And JK suffer repercussions!
I completely agree.
But but butā¦ she didnāt actually really clearly obviously commit proven perjury.
Works for me!
I am betting his peeps tell him how much support he has.
The civil trial can still move forward, unless LK comes to her senses and stops it
This is absolute justice. So incredible relieved for Michael Barisone. I hope that one day I get the opportunity to ride with him.
He will only be committed however long that professionals deem him no longer a threat to himself or others.
I sincerely doubt he was, is or will ever be a threat to others. Even LK, unless she somehow provoked him into another psychotic break. And I would hope heās never in proximity to her or any of the other players.
He may be a threat to himself for some time after this ordeal
Excellent News! Prayers for his recovery from this ordeal.
I only would have been happier if it had been NG on the attempted murder and NGI on aggravated assault. I too fear that LK will consider this a victory. Because she always has to win.
By his appearance and actions during the trial, he needs at least some inpatient treatment. This way the state can be sure it happens. Just set free would then make his therapy and re-integration dependent on his support system. The support system that, frankly, in some ways failed him in the summer of 2019.
Iād imagine he gets an appeal hearing with respect to his SS ban.
But first thing is first. He goes through a mental health treatment and evaluation process. Andā¦ if professionals determine his delusional disorder is in remissionā¦ he is granted release from civil commitment.
Best day ever. Congratulations Michael Barisone.
Committed for eval for 30 days.
Omg. What about his other attorney wiping his eyes as well?
I am so happy he has no conviction on his record. Hoping his transition back to normal life is short and successful.
Hoping once heās completely released that the Safe Sport ban is lifted.
I only wish that LK and RG had a price to pay for what they did.
Right, I think he can appeal once released now that I think about it.
The interesting thing in the civil context will be whether insanity can be a defense for whatever her claims are. Iām not familiar with her civil suit, but - I believe in a lot of instances the actor isnāt relieved from liability for any tortious conduct because of a mental defect. So theoretically, the civil case could be stronger. The jury found that the murder conduct happened by a reasonable doubt standard, which is higher than in the civil context. If the insanity defense is unavailable, then the civil suit may be much much stronger.
This is speculation though. I am not familiar with NJ tort law, or the suit itself. But torts frequently donāt require intent the way a criminal act like attempted murder does, and insanity goes to intent. So if intent isnāt at issueā¦her case gets much stronger.
Shame on you, LaLa!
I agree completely. According to the charge flow chart, the jury found him guilty first, and then moved forward to the insanity defense. LK will take hold of that and run with it. Nothing learned.
FINALLY!!! I can move on! Hallelujah!!
