I think appealing Taylor’s ruling on the first Krol hearing is Barisone’s best move.

I think yammering on SM that you’re convinced that Taylor is senile and/or following instructions from JK is silly. It may not actually hurt MBs case, but I cannot imagine how it would help it. It looks like you’re just venting your hate at the judge.

I don’t think I have it in me to go back and navigate the videos to find the medical/LE testimonies in the trial, but I always thought that the trajectory of the bullets went upwards. The one that went through the door certainly did.

Like NGRI, NG by reason of self defense is an affirmative defense. In an affirmative defense, the defense bears the burden of showing that it was self defense, the prosecution does not bear the burden to establishing that it wasn’t self defense.

The KROL hearing was about Michael Barisone’s continued unjust and unhealthy confinement at the behest of the idiots in charge of his fate. He was driven out of his mind by Lauren Kanarek and continues to suffer the results of her diabolical plan to destroy him. What does you “liking his ex wife” have to do with the KROL hearing?

I found your asking whether I was ever “intimately involved” with either MB or Vera, or wanted to be, disgusting.

Here’s why the dynamics of MB/Vera/MHG has bearing on the discussion of the cause of MBs mental breakdown: it seems extremely likely that a mental breakdown into delusion is a complex interaction of genetic predisposition, personality formation in childhood, the development, or not, of coping mechanisms in adulthood, and current psychological stressors.

It is simplistic to think that one can attribute his mental breakdown to “LK drove him insane”. She was a scrappy, demanding client who undoubtedly annoyed and stressed him. In the absence of serious mental vulnerabilities, a rational functioning adult would have let the lawyers handle it by giving her 30 days notice or getting a court to grant 3 days notice. If MB left his wife and successful business partner in order to take up with MHG, then the psychological stress and despair of an ultimatum that she was dumping him would have been immense.

On the other hand, if his marriage to Vera was genuinely over before he took up with MHG, so that he wasn’t sacrificing his marriage or business partnership “for” MHG, then her threatening to dump him is not as gut wrenching.

When he muttered “I had a good life” maybe he was referring to 2000 to 2014 when he was married to Vera, his business was thriving, and he was at the top of the sport.

What if…what if he just had a good life in general, despite the divorce/split from Vera, until LK came along and I leashed her finish the bastard plan? Maybe he had thought he was finally in a decent place prior to his nightmare client? I can’t speak for him, but I can consider a few plausible thought scenarios.

She was more than scrappy and demanding, IMO.
I think that you’re downplaying things/her with that comment, really.

So what if he was dealing with “stressors?” He has proven for what, 40-50 years that he was capable of handling them. And even if he was “on the ledge” - so to speak - it was LK that pushed him off of it. SHE was the proximate cause of his breakdown - a fact that is obvious to anyone who has two brain cells to rub together.
