Some people” think Michael’s divorce from Vera is pertinent to understanding the psychological stresses that led to his mental breakdown, resulting in the shooting. Vera was not only his wife but also his business partner. The actual divorce occurred about a year before the shooting, and contributed to his financial stress, as he had to split his assets with Vera, and lost his business partner.

He gave up a lot to take MHG on as girlfriend. If she threatened to leave him if he did not get rid of LK immediately, the psychological stress would have been immense.

LK, on the other hand, was divorced many years before 2019, so it’s very difficult to imagine that her divorce played a role in the shooting.

Hey, thanks for that great insight. It’s good you know when LK was divorced and what role that may or may have not played on her mental health.

It’s good you can speak for MB. I mean, maybe he really didn’t “give up” anything, and just moved on. It happens. Just like you assume it happened for LK.

Edit to add: Rob Goodwin and Lauren Kanarek were stalking her kids. Even if Michael hadn’t ended up in jail, she was within her rights to get the heck out of Dodge.

There goes that movie in your head again. MB didn’t give up anything. The two events of divorcing Vera and dating MHG didn’t occur near eachother.

Keep in mind MHG has her own ex, who had custody of the kids, to contend with. After all the stuff that went on, who knows what kind of input (threats about custody) he had in the matter.
