Barisone- New Thread

Judge Taylor does not appear to like to do anything that does not fully make the prosecution look amazing.

I am sure the defense does have that, but the court wants to give the jurors the information provided in the testimony.

What country are you living in?

This happened to me too and I also freaked out and ran away.

I believe the no appeal statement refers to the Safe Sport ban, not the criminal trial.

If convicted, MB will not be able to appeal his Safe Sport ban.

And some of us have no grudges, are not influenced (heavily or otherwise) by anyone who has one, and are NOT - for the umpteenth time - “fans” of anyone in this case. Those constant smug assertions got tiresome many threads ago…

I take that back - I am a “fan” of the facts and nothing else. I have also had personal experience with someone(s) like LK who acted very much the same way - right down to similar threats and worse (on SM and IRL)… so yeah, I guess that influences me a bit. Shame on me for actually having firsthand experience and not just sitting at my keyboard glossing over any bad behavior far away that contributed to a tragic outcome.

I wish there had been a third party (or even a fourth) involved on that final day. Someone who could have diffused the situation, got LK and RG packing to leave, settled MB down etc.

Looks like they are now arguing about just stipulating to telling the jury dates rather than have them listen to testimony

Blinkas is stressed about saying there was a mistake, I don’t think that’s a big deal tho

Good point, Inca. Thank you for clarifying that for me. You are right.

Agree.
They’re trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, largely because Pros is afraid to let the jury know he’s been in jail this whole time.

Why is this?
I would think that would help there case.
“See, he is so horrible he has been locked up this whole time to protect all of you.”

There is no way in heck I could keep all of this straight if I were on the jury and could not take notes.

So is being charged with, or having been convicted or any disposition other than not guilty of, any crime an automatic ban? Or does it just mean that SS can open a case and decide if it’s worthy of a ban or not?

For example, what happens to someone who got busted for a DUI or weed possession 15 years ago and has stayed out of trouble ever since? I’m not so sure they would need to be banned from showing horses.

I now see my out for jury duty… Shit memory.

“They might ask for more to be transcribed…” Reason to not… do what?

Gee, maybe I’m misunderstanding, but why such a challenge to the jury wanting to remember actual details?

Agreed, it seems like the “mistake” only accounts to for a few days difference and be excused because it was so long ago…

This note taking prohibition is bizarre. My memory is not the greatest at times. I would definitely want/need notes to refer back to.
