They seemed to wrap up the trial each day around 4:30 the whole time, except for one or two days when they got done a little early. So I guess maybe they’re sticking to pretty much the same schedule for deliberations. Almost banker’s hours.

I am again about a thousand posts behind, but it is sickening that MB has been in jail all this time with such a shaky case. How much help did he have access to in jail (mental well being). I get that Covid made his time in jail longer than “normal”, but it seems to me that psychiatric help would have been more suitable to helping him not be a threat to himself/society than jail.
(this is probably very off topic by the time I catch up, but I can’t stop thinking about it)

This was abuse in the extreme. We don’t yet know how resilient and stronger with therapy and meds he can be. I think labeling him forever unstable re-victimizes him in a way. He needs to have hope. Am I wrong about this?

I was knocked out cold once in a riding accident. Along with two broken ribs, I had a severe concussion. I was confused as I came to, but I remembered my head hitting the ground. I was in and out of consciousness in the hospital and the neurologist told me I had a mild axonal injury. I don’t remember much of my time in the hospital (just flashes of memory), but I remember everything that happened before everything exploded into darkness. I remember the impact clearly. This is one of the reasons I question the claim of amnesia. If any of the jurors have ever been knocked out cold, they may wonder about it too.

Did they say if they are going to watch ALL of Simring’s testimony? I’m watching his direct now. It’s right around 1 hour. It’s a goldmine of details on what LK and RG did to harass MB.
It’s interesting to rewatch this portion of the trial.

You’re questioning someone else’s experience of trauma and injury based on your own experience of a completely different trauma and injury? Glad you’re not on the jury, I guess. Isn’t that kind of the point of having medical experts testify? So ordinary people don’t make silly assumptions based on their personal, anecdotal experiences?

I was once knocked out from a pretty routine fall, or so I was told. I don’t remember anything about the lesson, just remember waking up in the BO’s house and then again in the hospital.
I just think it’s different for everyone and if he had a lengthy history of concussions, well I have to believe his brain is more fragile than not.
