Barisone- New Thread

Wow. Very powerful

So, here it is another day and I find myself still completely baffled how anyone can defend or attempt to explain the actions of LK/RG/JK. I don’t comprehend how so much can be excused. And folks wonder how MB was so naive!!! Look in the mirror FanGirls!

What if there was a contract and she just ignored it. I still think it would not be easy getting her and the horses removed. People break contracts all the time. They get sued and they don’t pay. Rarely do they get thrown in jail.

I agree people should not minimize verbal threats. Some of the posts about this here are hor rifying, urging physical assault, for example.
But the police are constrained in what they can do by the law. As someone said, Barisone needed a court to order eviction or a restraining order. Until then, the police could not take action.

No one is excusing LK. It’s just when some people don’t excuse MB some people get their knickers in a twist.

I am as baffled how you can excuse Barisone for everything and anything.

That’s definitely not what the poster stated here.

Wow. Just wow. This comment makes me sick.

You must not own your own home/farm or have a reputation that you’ve spent your lifetime developing or nevermind.

Really sick to put MBs LIFE vs. LKs sick twisted GAME.

THIS. WAS. NOT.A. GAME. TO. HIM. WTF?

I did not watch this, but is this Branca guy a licensed attorney? Because that kind of commentary does not meet the ethical standards of a licensed attorney. If he is NOT an attorney, what are his credentials to comment on a trial and the quality of the legal arguments (or is he a fashion designer?)? I am guessing that the answer to these questions will reveal how seriously you should take his presentations.

Sorry hun, but there’s NO WAY on God’s earth I would EVER leave MY property especially when there are animals involved…As if I would trust the animals wouldn’t be harmed? That would be like leaving a child in the company of a predator.

Many, many people here have wondered why her father didn’t keep her under control. I haven’t seen any evidence that anyone else cared about her enough to even know what a nightmare she was. I have previously stated that I think LK should have left when responding to posts about LK. In this case, I was simply responding to people who have stated there is no way MB could have left the property because “the horses!!!”. When someone is experiencing a mental breakdown, that person needs professional help immediately, and anyone who claims to care about him should not use “but the horses” as an excuse to ignore that the person needs help.

People keep asking why the formal eviction process was not started sooner. Steve Tarshis (horse lawyer) had been talking to LKs father in the weeks preceeding the shooting, trying to get LK to leave on her own. This is they were trying to get her to Parra’s. ST mentioned that he thought he and the dad had an agreement - judge cut him off about this and wouldn’t let him elaborate.

If you have ever been in an abusive relationship you would know that the victim will do almost anything to not escalate the situation the abuser. I can completely understand why MB would try using the father as an intermediary to avoid invoking any more of LKs wrath. I’m sure ST did object as his lawyer. When you are being abused you don’t necessarily listen to logical advice.

The other question being asked a lot - why didn’t MB put himself im.a hotel /mental health facility / vacation etc? You have 2 degenerate drug addicts laying siege your multi million dollar facility that houses easily over a million dollars of horseflesh that has been entrusted to you. Would you leave it to them? It would be a pretty big ask to have JH/MHG etc in charge of babysitting LK. Additionally, I view the call by LK to code enforcement about a faulty dryer fire hazard in the barn as a threat. It would be so coincidental if she warned them about a fire hazard and a short while later the barn burned down. He had someone watching the barn all night because he couldn’t trust them and was doing night long patrols himself. No way a person with that level of (justified, imo) fear is going to leave and just trust that everything will turn out “OK”.

Really? As I recall I was the one who asked why she went back a second time. She never fully explained here how/why her horse ended up in FL did she? It was about the same time LK was singing her song about MB/MHG wanting to “steal” her horses. Coincidence?

This!! Why can’t certain people grasp this?

I think Bob is struggling. This is a response to someone asking L&C what’s going on.

Wait, you don’t receive thevLaw and Crime end of day personal email? It’s really cool; L&C brings me up to date about EVERYTHING. Sometimes I even get a personal zoom call from Dan Abrams the owner of L&C to chat about the trial and talk about gossip from the jury room. It’s great stuff

How? She is an adult. What could he do, other than try to control the purse strings - which may help explain why there was a barter agreement for board of some of her horses. And also why she wasn’t living somewhere else and paying rent/mortgage/utilities.

Hmmm….gossip from the jury room….and the jury was worried about being recorded

I don’t know what to say, but I am disappointed that someone who holds themselves out as a legal scholar or expert would comment on appearances of witnesses without relevant data to back up what their appearance could mean to a jury.
