One poster, who has since disappeared, said that she had trained with Barisone around 2015 or so, and had a talented PSG horse that MB wanted to campaign himself. She did not agree to his campaigning the horse, and she said Barisone had the horse shipped to Florida without her knowledge or consent anyway. She subsequently took her horse out of training with him. She said she was afraid of Barisone and considered him dishonest. The posts have been erased.

Yes, and she also posted that she went back to train with him a second time. He must not have been that cruel, huh? The information I received about the horse going to FL was it was a simple miscommunication between the woman and Barisone.

Really? As I recall I was the one who asked why she went back a second time. She never fully explained here how/why her horse ended up in FL did she? It was about the same time LK was singing her song about MB/MHG wanting to “steal” her horses. Coincidence?

On one occasion well prior to 2019, when someone on COTH asked about high level dressage trainers in NJ, and Barisone’s name came up, she posted a brief post with no details, but recommended avoiding Barisone because in her experience he was “abusive” and “dishonest”.

I don’t recall which day his attorney, Steven Tarshis, testified, but he was very upset that MB did not reach out to him earlier regarding eviction. He also said that he had tried helping, buy MB was not listening/hearing/processing what he was saying. Same with the hay guy - MB was not able to process what was being said to him.

Thanks for this - I wasn’t able to watch anything last week or this week and my life is too full of real stuff to bother to catch up by watching or reading everything here. It’s surprising that MHG or RC didn’t try to get him help, especially since they both testified that he was broken down emotionally, but the hay guy and MB’s attorney are the ones who actually cared enough to at least try to help. It’s not surprising that their opinions didn’t make much of a difference. If only someone who was more important to him had spoken up…

How? She is an adult. What could he do, other than try to control the purse strings - which may help explain why there was a barter agreement for board of some of her horses. And also why she wasn’t living somewhere else and paying rent/mortgage/utilities.

I don’t know, you would have to ask the people who posted that. There are plenty of examples here; you just have to search for them. I would start with the people who post here all day every day first; I’m not going to name names because you probable know who they are.

The general reaction of the Eggbutt-led thread was very hostile to someone who had trained with Barisone and characterized him as abusive and dishonest. She left and deleted all posts.

Isn’t that the purpose of all the hostility to posters who voice opposing views? To chase them off? It’s quite effective.
