Why is it hard to answer the question I asked without being snarky to me?

Would this evidence allow you to look at your spouse/child/loved one and say, I’m sorry, this convinces me that you are guilty of shooting that gun? I love you but the evidence leaves me with no doubt you did this.

Hut-ho, I realize that you meant “shot at” when it comes to RG; its a distinction that has freuqently been easily mixed up when we have talked about what happened, and I realize you meant “at” when you talk about what happene to him.

I want to ask you a question, and not to dig at you, but you seem very concerned and very convinced of your view, and I have a different view, and my question is this: You have said that MB shot LK and shot at RG, and my question is, why do you think so? I’m not asking rhetorically, but to ask what it is that brings you to that conclusion? What is it about this situation that brings you to think that he shot (and shot at) them? Thanks if youy can give this a moment.

I’m going to ask again, why was MBs visit to the police department, where he asked to speak to someone, not mentioned?
It seems the fact that MB did attempt to get assistance with the situation is really being missed by many.

If Bilinkas didn’t present evidence to the jury that someone other than MB shot LK, then he was admitting that MB shot LK even if he didn’t actually say those words. Come on, is this not obvious? If you are a defense attorney and you want the jury to think someone else did the shooting, aren’t you going to spend at least a minute or two presenting that scenario with some evidence? Or are you going to expect the jury to make up that story all by themselves based on no evidence at all (which they are not allowed to do, by the way)?

Have you actually followed this trial at all? Bilinkas was not allowed to present plausible alternate theories because they weren’t in evidence. When he tried anyway, he got shut down by the judge.

If MB was able to testify to a different sequence of events than those presented by LK and RG, then that scenario could have been explored further. Another reason to believe his amnesia is genuine, because amnesia doesn’t help his case. If MB were going to make up a story, it would have been far more helpful to say he did remember it and that he was attacked by RG / LK and fired in self defence, or that the gun went off during a struggle.

I’m so sorry for your relative! What was strange about this woman’s case is that she did not appear depressed. Her negative thoughts/emotions were turned outward. Her thought processes were hijacked. I may have seen slight signs of this before she had her child, but it became greatly exaggerated and dark in nature after. I had no contact with her for years because I deemed her unsafe to be around. She was as nutty as LK at that time, but SM wasn’t a thing.

Lol I really don’t want to be lumped in with you long time posters. You long time posters can carry on living your entire lives on this thread; I have real life things to deal with.

LK said MB shot me to 911. He told Dr Simring he got the gun out of the safe. He drove there. LK had 2 bullet wounds. RG spoke to 911 and corroborated LK’s testimony while sounding like he is struggling. LE arrives. RG is on top of MB. Same gun is under MB. RG tells LE that MB is the shooter. RC tells LE it is her gun and she gave it to MB. Ear witness testifies LK told him MB shot me in the heart.

LK and RG have said a number of things that are demonstrably false. That makes it difficult to simply accept anything they say as truth without some sort of corroborating evidence. I believe they call that “reasonable doubt.”

My random thoughts:

• I can’t believe JK wasn’t called by either side
• MB’s extreme mental breakdown was confirmed, by several people who knew him well, in the days leading up to the shooting
• the lack of forensic evidence would give me “reasonable doubt”
• the glaring obvious point of the camera being shut off and/or “wiped clean”
• the judge was obviously biased and wouldn’t allow the defense to present its case fully. This is commented on by almost all, even those with no knowledge of either party. A grounds for appeal (if it comes to that)
• I would have to vote NG, if I were a juror. The question would be, would I be willing to vote NGI to avoid a hung jury?
• the weapon’s charge confuses me, so I’m not sure about that one
