Thank you for pointing out the Obvious.

But you are suggesting that MB might very well hurt those horses for some reason… you are suggesting that this is a commonplace occurrence that surely must happen All. The. Time. You are suggesting that because some crime novel had a horse incident in it that LK was too terrified to move her horses who had rides and stalls arranged for them… because… wait.

That does not make sense.

She was worried that they might be harmed so she opted to leave them where they might be harmed even though she had other options - just so she could finish the bastard? Does that sound right?

It really is NOT hard to move 6 horses in one day - contrary to all the lame excuses. You just need friends to help. Or even family. When a friend’s farm was about to flood, we got together with her family and moved 26 horses in one afternoon… it can be done.

That is why I was surprised.

This is a vile statement.

You’re playing that it’s an innocent statement but I’m sure many would interpret it as sarcasm of the worse kind.

So, if RG made the agreement for work under an LLC, that makes things very interesting. For one, it would preclude RG from being able to collect anything personally. The LLC would have to move forward, and that would make things very difficult.

Thanks so much!

I personally didn’t feel forensics supported any possible scenario. I noticed the shoddy work. aside from testimony from LK and RG, the evidence points nowhere. With no forensics it feels like a whodunnit.
I wasn’t on the jury so I don’t know what they were thinking but it is plausible they went with NGI because they felt someone needed to be punished. Maybe they do feel the prosecution proved the case, maybe they just needed a person to punish and only one person was on trial. Just my three cents.

If they wanted her gone why would they be trashing her to other barns? That seems counterproductive.

Wait really?

Seriously. Unfortunately, horse people in CA and the Southwest have gotten quite adept at getting many horses out of harm’s way in very little time due to our wildfires.

I’m not saying we have always managed to save all, but getting 6 out without a fire headed our way would seem like a piece of cake. Anyone who says otherwise is being purposely obtuse or lying.

How does USEF handle a banned person? Obviously they could prevent any entries from being accepted but what about as a spectator? Do the people at showing facilities have a binder of banned people that they look for at shows?
If USEF bans you, can you still spectate?

What? lol, what? This must be happy hour there in NJ. MHG lived with him, he wasn’t “wooing” her. He had and has millions, he didn’t need LK’s board. You’re making this up. Sheesh.

The defense mental health experts explained delusions. The defense plus prosecutor mental health experts talked about emotions such as fear. Are they vile? The delusion is the reason he is not in jail for attempted murder.

You are being confrontational over the jury verdict and a differing opinion that maybe instead of not remembering because of being subdued by RG, he can’t remember because he was delusional and emotional.

No I was identifying your comment as the worse kind of sarcasm.

Sometimes horses don’t get out. They drown and they burn. DiFranco didn’t get her horses out either and she was actively looking.

I’ve moved mine in a day once but I just had one and her vet records and Coggins were kept up to date.

LK obviously should have left any way she could have even if it was pasture board except with Cushings JayT at least couldn’t do pasture. Plus, no barter deal at new barns and now 4 horses so where to go in New Jersey with 4 horses and $5000/month?

I don’t understand these comments that get tossed out like anyone who says differently is whatever. Of course people have different opinions and views. We come at life with different experiences.

Ok. Please explain. I have no idea what you are talking about. How is my comment the worst kind of sarcasm?

$5000 will board this number of horses just fine until something else could be found and at a very decent barn in NJ no problem. Now maybe not with a world class trainer but that was not MBs problem. That was LKs to live within her means.

Also for LK to consider: if she had such a great deal maybe don’t abuse the trainer and his significant other.

Also if she was so afraid of abuse I’m sure she could have gotten them out ASAP and received monetary help for a month or two.

Well, even though I have you on ignore, I can somehow see when someone else responds to you, so I’ll respond to this despite my better judgement.

Did I say we are always able to get all horses out? No. I specifically said that, unfortunately, not all can be saved all the time. Don’t try to put words in my mouth that I did not say.

Back on ignore.

I’m still stuck on the mom supposedly transcribing these illegal recordings and insists they are so damning the prosecutor and Judge (!!) heard them or read her transcript and proclaimed Barisone guilty…PERIOD. BUT, she and her husband didn’t think the recordings were serious enough to be of concern. Which is it? Also, I’ve never ever heard of a Judge saying he thought a defendant was guilty before the trial had taken place. Seems quite biased to me and would have been tremendous grounds for an appeal had the verdict been different. As it is if her statement is true, I have a problem with Taylor presiding on any other part of this process!!!

This is why everyone including Michael, the prosecutor, the judge knew Michael did it. They heard the plans on the tapes.

You are purposefully ignoring that transport and stalls were arranged for and she did not use that. You are ignoring that she had offers on FB from people to come and pick up horses. You are seemingly of the opinion that NJ is some vast equestrian wasteland where big barns are few and far between and difficult to find. Well maintained pasture - and dry lots - exist and are easy to find if someone actually does want to move their horses and is not simply putting on a show on social media.

You are bending over backwards to make excuses for someone who it appears had no intention of leaving at that point in time, knew the horses would not be abused and was just playing more of her sadistic FTB games.

And one more time… LOUDER… for the people in the back. YES - 6 horses can be moved in one day if you actually were inclined to put it together and make it happen. It is NJ - not Nunavut.
