I don’t get this “borderline libelous.” With a deteriorating situation of which she shared responsibility, how are concerns for horse safety not in line with concerns for personal safety. It’s not paranoia if the guy you say you are afraid of shoots you.

Incorrect. The use of the apartment is said to be for resting. No one mentioned “incapacitated by drugs” except you. The person saying she stayed in the truck was the guy who said she had him fired from a $140,000/year job. That was just his story and my take on that was his behavior got him fired, not her influence.

Just to clarify, if LK has previously ruined your life, what you experienced with LK does not count because you are angry that she previously ruined your life? Is that what you are saying?

No, just saying his claims on SM are not substantiated. Has anyone found him? Do you know differently? I believe people were looking for him to help with the civil case or at least there were posts along that line once.

So no, I don’t think a barn would fire someone on staff over a onetime complaint especially if the complainer is someone as dramatic as LK can be openly on SM unless it was over an act that was egregious and substantiated.

Hmmmm, similar to MB’s fears? Were her fears delusional? Had there been any previous evidence of any horse not being cared for properly? Remember, didn’t she absolutely insist MB/MHG wanted her horses for themselves and that was the reason for the alleged murder plot - man, that never made sense - so why on earth would they not care for horses they were lusting to own?

I know I am late to the party today, darn, don’t you hate it when you have to work for a living?

From my personal experience, ohhhhh about 20 years ago, I had a horse in training with a BNT (dressage) in NC. You know the place that dressage goes to die. I paid, 20 years ago, $1700/1750. for ONE (1 )horse per month training and board. Again that was for ONE (1) horse.

So $5000.00 for 5 horses, doesn’t add up in my mind. But I am not good with math. And my experience was about 20 years ago. So you do need to add in cost increases.

It was still 4, the 5th one was still in quarantine, and there was the barter deal that fell apart.

Bc MB didn’t get his reputation from neglecting horses and even if he was the type to do such a thing, I’m sure he wasn’t the one doing the daily grunt work. Neither was MHG. I don’t see any BNT telling their staff “Don’t feed ABC horses” or “no water for xyz horses” People would not blindly follow any such directives.

but I am playing along), I would take his 5 calls to 911 as it being VERY clear that I am not wanted and I should leave and I should take the offered help from several friends on Facebook and my unlimited means and get myself out of there.

I would also take those 5 calls to 911 as a man desperate for help in a situation, and the reason there are 5 calls, not just one call or two calls, because the problem in the situation has gone all “finish the bastard”.

And also I would skedaddle if I was getting mixed messages from trainer and trainers fiance as to whether I should stay. This poster seems to think that would make people want to stay. I just wouldn’t want to be a pawn in some game between significant others.

Honestly, based on Judge Taylor’s reaction to the verdict, I absolutely believe he prejudged MB. He was furious the jury came back with NG/NGI.

This is a good point. Is there some way to bring this problem up to the court system? It is kind of scary if this happened.

If it did indeed happen, I would think Bilinkas would be all over it. For all we know, the NJ Judicial Review Commission (or whatever it is called) may already be looking at the evidence.

Since Kirby’s revelation that Judge Taylor made inappropriate comments to her regarding Barisone’s guilt or innocence, I’ve pondered the Kanarek involvement with ALL the officials in this case, from the police department to the building inspector breaking protocol and allowing LK to stay in the house but not advise MB, to possibly a biased judge. I’m certainly not paranoid but I do understand conspiracy in small towns influenced by a wealthy influencer. Coincidence? Uh-huh.

Don’t forget the police calling the DA and the DA saying that Lauren is allowed to go anywhere she wants on the property at any time, MB was not allowed to restrict her access.

How could you know this? You’ve stated numerous times that you don’t know her or any of the people involved in the incident, yet somehow you know that her “fears” were understandable. Do you know of a single incident when MB or anyone at either of his facilities mistreated horses after their owners said they were leaving? Do you? If so, please tell us.

What I know, though, and what you refuse to acknowledge, is that she had the opportunity to move and refused. Just how fearful could she have been? Hmm?

She should have left. Easy to say now with hindsight. I believe she was scared even if her fears were of the unknown.

I don’t know MB or his staff. We have been told that it LO who got MB’s horses out. My guess is that JH helped since he is still maintaining the Florida property. I hope MHG did too but maybe she had her hands full buying out RC and getting her own horses and herself out.

I haven’t been at a barn where the owner shot a client. I don’t think anyone thought it would get that bad but it seems like the entire situation was out of kilter. Why assume horses would be cared for when people are making horrible decisions?
