Those here who are 40+ years old, does your father handle your move to another facility? Seriously, is LK so incompetent that her father and boyfriend have to do everything for her? I’m seriously asking if she has become that dependent on other men in her life.

My dad would have helped me move, while asking in a stern tone if I had purposely tossed my marbles aside.
I think it is not so much being dependent on the males, as making them d her bidding. Life is much easier that way and you are less likely to break a nail.

People in the business talk…even small barns like me. We communicate about PIA boarders to each other. I doubt MHG was calling anyone except the BNT’s she personally knows. That’s not unusual at all.

a friend was in this situation when she needed a PITArenter gone and was asked to give references to the rental company they were going to rent from. “I want them gone, but I don’t want to lie about them”
In the end it was a simple yes/no questionaire which she filled out without having to elaborate (like the several thousand dollars to replace the carpet throughout the house, much of swhich had been brand new when they moved in)

When a friend’s farm was about to flood, we got together with her family and moved 26 horses in one afternoon… it can be done.

Seriously. Unfortunately, horse people in CA and the Southwest have gotten quite adept at getting many horses out of harm’s way in very little time due to our wildfires.

I’m not saying we have always managed to save all, but getting 6 out without a fire headed our way would seem like a piece of cake. Anyone who says otherwise is being purposely obtuse or lying.

Sometimes horses don’t get out. They drown and they burn. DiFranco didn’t get her horses out either and she was actively looking.

I’ve moved mine in a day once but I just had one and her vet records and Coggins were kept up to date.

LK obviously should have left any way she could have even if it was pasture board except with Cushings JayT at least couldn’t do pasture. Plus, no barter deal at new barns and now 4 horses so where to go in New Jersey with 4 horses and $5000/month?

I don’t understand these comments that get tossed out like anyone who says differently is whatever. Of course people have different opinions and views. We come at life with different experiences.

$5000 will board this number of horses just fine until something else could be found and at a very decent barn in NJ no problem. Now maybe not with a world class trainer but that was not MBs problem. That was LKs to live within her means.

Also for LK to consider: if she had such a great deal maybe don’t abuse the trainer and his significant other.

Also if she was so afraid of abuse I’m sure she could have gotten them out ASAP and received monetary help for a month or two.

So $5000 will board 4 horses with a 5th on the way in New Jersey? For 2.5 years people have been saying it won’t.

It will, just not at a full training board farm with an indoor. There are plenty of smaller farms with nice stalls and very good care/turnout in the $750-$1000.

Then the plot was non existent and she’s made it all up for attention and to justify her actions.

LK said on SM words to the effect of once she was shot the interpretation of the meaning of the tapes changed. I interpreted that to mean they were in actuality trying to get her off the premises but the same words could be interpreted as a murder plot.

Only to someone looking to justify their bad behavior to others. No one outside the situation has put any stock in this murder plot. The prosecution never even implied it was a planned attack in their opening/closing statements. Never implied that RC brought the gun at anyone’s direction for a specific purpose. Made no attempt to issue conspiracy charges for RC/MHG. In fact, the prosecution used an entirely different source than LK claims to have for the words “get rid of her” in terms of an eviction. SS/USEF have not acted on them either.

So, all of this tells me, that those tapes are not as advertised, at all, by any rational person’s interpretation. Of course, certain mental conditions feature a tendency for making stuff up and justifying behavior for things that aren’t real.

Why on earth would she think they would care for her horses if they wanted her out to the point of being shot twice?

Bc MB didn’t get his reputation from neglecting horses and even if he was the type to do such a thing, I’m sure he wasn’t the one doing the daily grunt work. Neither was MHG. I don’t see any BNT telling their staff “Don’t feed ABC horses” or “no water for xyz horses” People would not blindly follow any such directives.

but I am playing along), I would take his 5 calls to 911 as it being VERY clear that I am not wanted and I should leave and I should take the offered help from several friends on Facebook and my unlimited means and get myself out of there.

I would also take those 5 calls to 911 as a man desperate for help in a situation, and the reason there are 5 calls, not just one call or two calls, because the problem in the situation has gone all “finish the bastard”.

And also I would skedaddle if I was getting mixed messages from trainer and trainers fiance as to whether I should stay. This poster seems to think that would make people want to stay. I just wouldn’t want to be a pawn in some game between significant others.

Hmmmm, not shoeing is now considered abuse? Wow. It’s too bad the farrier wasn’t called to testify and Bilinkas was prevented from asking RG anything about the direction to not shoe her horses. Perhaps MB assumed it was a done deal that they were leaving so why should he pay the cost of shoes when they may not have paid him. But we’ll never know since Taylor shut it down.

My guess, is that the “plot to get rid of her” was the attempt at eviction-- just like the standard barn hold harmless release was an attempt to be acquitted in advance of her murder by her interpretation.

Yep, pretty much. MHG testified to that.

yes this all reminds me of the made for television “threat” attributed to that young man from Kentucky when he ended his audition on American Idol with the common midwest/southern/rural salutation of “take care and be careful”.

Honestly, based on Judge Taylor’s reaction to the verdict, I absolutely believe he prejudged MB. He was furious the jury came back with NG/NGI.

I didn’t see that. Did he tell you that? He gave them the instructions with that as a choice.

Again, I’ll take the lead from the prosecution, who had these recordings, and their lack of charges and use of such recordings, over the say so of yet another professed random internet user who can’t bring themselves to believe that someone who directly testified to lying on SM might have lied on SM.

Why would Taylor discuss anything about the live trial with Kirby? I, and others, listened intently and took notes of the hearings and I never heard Taylor say he heard the recordings and Barisone was guilty.

This is a good point. Is there some way to bring this problem up to the court system? It is kind of scary if this happened.

If it did indeed happen, I would think Bilinkas would be all over it. For all we know, the NJ Judicial Review Commission (or whatever it is called) may already be looking at the evidence.

Since Kirby’s revelation that Judge Taylor made inappropriate comments to her regarding Barisone’s guilt or innocence, I’ve pondered the Kanarek involvement with ALL the officials in this case, from the police department to the building inspector breaking protocol and allowing LK to stay in the house but not advise MB, to possibly a biased judge. I’m certainly not paranoid but I do understand conspiracy in small towns influenced by a wealthy influencer. Coincidence? Uh-huh.

Don’t forget the police calling the DA and the DA saying that Lauren is allowed to go anywhere she wants on the property at any time, MB was not allowed to restrict her access.

That goes into tenant rights.

Have you EVER heard of a police officer ask a DA any official questions about any call they went on? Highly irregular. Some of us actually have been closely involved with LEOs and their processes.
