A permanent ban as I understand it prevents a USEF member from having any contact with a banned former member regardless of whether they are interacting outside the jurisdiction of the USEF. In practical matters it prevents them from earning a living.

Unrelated to MB’s situation.

I beg to differ. There have been people who have been banned who continued to earn a living in the horse business. They just did not do it by attending USEF recognized horse shows.

My question, KM, is whether the assistant trainers and MHG as fiancée owed MB the support of taking care of his horses and closing the facility.

Of course they didn’t owe LK any help with her horses.

No one “owed” anyone anything. See my post above.

Even after everything, LK’s horses were taken care of perfectly.

I am told that if I was a member of the USEF that I cannot contract with a banned member to come to my private facility (or go to their’s) for a lesson. Is that correct? My private contract with another private individual is not fair game for the USEF/SS–at least it would be a tough sell in a courtroom.

I believe there is a similar problem with the USEF/FEI policy that says that upper level riders can not participate in competitions outside the jurisdiction of the FEI. This came up last year with the Snaffle Bit Association/World Equestrian Center in Ocala. These types of restrictions work in other countries, but tend to run into problems in with US law.

Seems odd that person planted in place that knew all this stuff was not a witness in the criminal trial. Surely they could have provided some proof there was a plot or whatever.

Are you asking the basis for my question as to how would LK and family think the horses would be cared for by the same people who just shot her twice and whom she had been at odds with before? It seems that all parties were concerned with safety and horse care. RC was sleeping in the barn aisle outside of Didi’s stall. LK was worried about barn fires. Her family was worried about horse care after she was shot twice. It was a deteriorating situation. This all came out in court.

Sorry, that argument makes no sense. (Or as we say in the south, that dog won’t hunt.)

People that concerned about the welfare of horses would not have abused horses belonging to someone else, nor would they have neglected to provide critical care for them as needed. Unlike a certain other couple living on the proper, MB/NHG/RC/JH, etc., just don’t sound like they are vindictive enough to willfully harm someone else’s horses.

Oh, and another thing - didn’t LK allege that the reason MB tried to “murder” them was because MHG wanted her horses? Now why in the world would someone allow abuse or neglect to happen to a horse she was wanted for herself?

Sorry you lost me with MB and company not being vindictive enough to not care for the horses when MB shot LK twice. I don’t think anyone was quite rational. Per Eggbutt, LO closed the barn and paid to ship MB’s horses to Florida herself with no help from MHG, JH, or RC. So if what Eggbutt heard and repeated is correct then it’s not that they were vindictive as much as not responsible.

MHG, JH, and RC each just left with their own horses, leaving MBs horses to be cared for by the mother of a working student? Wow.

I doubt everyone up and ran under the cover of darkness leaving MB’s horses there. I assume there were discussions and mutual agreements regarding the horses and farm.

I’m sure MHG was very afraid and was urged to leave as soon as she could find a secure landing spot. The arrival of RG/JK the next day unnerved everyone.

Barisone Verdict Is In: Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity

MHG left for NC then FL shortly after the shooting. She moved on with her life and became engaged to a firefighter (I believe) last year. LO was there and has been there through thick and thin along with other close friends for this entire ordeal. She cleaned out the facility, packed everything up, shipped it and stored it and kept his FL facility running from a distance all while running her own business. We all should hope we have someone in our lives like LO.

Well, there is also the manipulation of information given to the police to catch perjury for a trial……but MB was harassing her by calling 911?

And what was this about leaving? Not until she had “justice”?

Why would MHG call places to make sure they wouldn’t take LK…if she wanted LK gone? That doesn’t make sense to me.

Because they are not smart enough to figure out how to get 4 or 5 horses to another barn …. Or themselves to a hotel or a families house… whoops they are not allowed on family property…. I am tired of discussing this. The LK’s are Krazy. Now bad things and criminal behavior makes sense. I could never understand how someone g/ could do something to harm another person intentionally - But it is being played out in technicolor! Wow.

I used to be Facebook friends with her, people on her own page were offering to come get her or help her move.

I saw that when it was public. I wish she would have gone.
