Highlights of continued cross of LK ctd on Day 4, 9:30 - 9:50 am:

LK says contacting DYFS was not part of her plan and she did not contact them. Bilinkas asks if she searched on her phone for DYFS hotline number on 7/31/19 and 7/10/19. Says no/possibly, he shows her search records to refresh recollection, she initially says yes but it was just a search, not a call. Then she says JH stole her phone and maybe cloned it or something (???), implying that he made the searches.

LK says she called building inspector because of dryer in barn that would not turn off and fear of barn fire. Acknowledges that getting MB kicked out of stable and made homeless was “maybe” part of her plan, then backtracks. After Bilinkas shows LK letter she and RG drafted re various issues at house and stable, she says maybe she didn’t call and should have said she “notified” them. Asked if she had RG go to town in person, she says she didn’t have him do anything.

8/6/19 “town people” came (Bilinkas’s words–building inspector and fire martial I assume). LK doesn’t know if RG walked around with them pointing out hazards because she wasn’t with him. Vacate notices posted on stable and house? [Missed a little bit here so I’m not sure what the ultimate answer was.] Photo shown of vacate notices on house doors, when LK and RG were still living there. LK seems to say she doesn’t remember notices there before shooting. Line of questioning cut off by judge.

Just want to say as per my training and implementation of eviction proceedings for 9 or 10 years it seems I was once more correct in that there were notices to vacate premises on not one but several doors.

I think the door thing was she tried to say that maybe the signs were posted after she got shot.

The lawyer was showing pictures of the signs posted on the glass upper portion of the door. He was trying to say that it was the window that got shot out, so there couldn’t be posters posted there after the shooting.

One of the commentators from yesterday said that MB holding his head down, crying and expressions were showing that he was guilty and remorseful. How are others interpreting his behaviour?

I interpret his behavior as a man who is mentally and physically broken, due to being the victim of a well planned attack.

He is also a man who has been sitting in a jail for 2 1/2 years, with probably none to very little help or care for the conditions from which he suffers.

I saw visceral reactions from him throughout the testimony so far. And not visceral reactions of violence. I see fear.

Realize now- anyone could be MB. LK stated under oath her goal was destroy him. Who could be her next victim?

Yes, that was discussed with the prosecutor, if he released them the defense attorney needed to notify them if they would need to return.
