Barisone Trial Starting Monday, 3/28

still miles better than Bilinkas imo. I know which one I would choose to represent me regardless of this outcome lol

RG is looking anxious in the seat. He’s moving the seat back and forth and has been moving around a bit.

He reminds me of my old co worker who would get earthquake leg shake any time he had anxiety.

He said he used drugs for his emotions and anxiety so he probably isn’t able to cope with stress all that well. JMO

Quite red-faced and sweaty

I’m reserving judgement overall as things settle in and I have heard more from both sides.

Some juries perceive a super organized delivery negatively and prefer people that are more relatable. Really just depends on how it all goes.

I believe the prosecutor asked RG if he used drugs during that time, and there was a little pause before he said, “not on the farm.”

It’s on the YouTube feed.

So he actually works for LK who doesn’t work! He’s a deadbeat and I don’t believe anything he says.

We will get a better idea on Bilinkas when he calls his witnesses. Remember that he is cross examining.

Exactly they’re opposite roles, one is prepared, the other is reacting to testimony

Highlights of Robert Goodwin direct examination 2:35 - ~2:40 pm:

Morning of 8/7 RG removed mare’s wraps but doesn’t think he saw MB in barn. He was upstairs and LK was on the love seat on the patio. On phone with atty trying to figure out how to work out relationship with MB.

Around 2 pm LK came upstairs and said MB was there. RG did not see him arrive. RG came down because LK wanted him to talk to MB. Walked through laundry room to back porch. As he came down the stairs he handed off the phone to LK with atty still on the line.

MB was hiding behind bush, visible from chest or shoulders up. Could not see hands, waist, or pockets. RG’s hands were empty when he stepped out onto porch. MB said, “How do we fix this? I don’t want a war,” and threw his hands up in the air. RG replied, “You’re the one who brought atty into it so have the attys talk it over.”

LK was behind him on the patio, not holding or carrying anything besides RG’s phone (though she may have had her phone). LK said she’d go talk to MB and walked down the stairs towards MB. She got around the bush, within 4 feet, and that’s when MB stepped out from behind bush, raised the gun, and shot her twice. RG saw gun, heard gunshots. RG was “frozen in amazement.” MB was about 12 feet from RG.

I have to leave again now…

The area is RG and LK’s home turf and RG has drug charges there, so they would know how and where to get drugs if and when they want them. They certainly wouldn’t have to do them on the farm, as there are plenty of places you can go to get/do drugs around the area.

Yet another good example of why it’s a bad idea to do any sort of barter arrangement for board. Somebody’s always unhappy.

The story by RG is very different. Lots of running around - Lauren started to run and MB was in the house, I thought I heard.

He punched MB with right hand, where
Applied chokehold and MB passed out

Not very familiar with guns

“I’m not familiar with guns.” means definitely not a Marine or any other.

He states that MB passed out “right away” with chokehold. Prosecutor moved on and RG went back to correct his story that he actually raised the gun to shoot again before passing out.

I think he is having trouble remembering, or remembering what he was prepped for

RG said he did not interact with the building inspectors when they came to the farm. Didn’t LK say RG showed the building inspectors around the property to point out all the safety violations to them?
