Edit: and LK originally stated that RG was upstairs “talking to their lawyer” and now the lawyer states he said a mere 4-5 words to RG. This is all very strange.

ED upset about inconsistencies. He doesn’t feel he should be held accountable for not remembering who called whom.
He said to RG - “Can I speak to LK?” - LK is his client, calling to talk to her.
On what he heard in the background - doesn’t remember RG speaking loudly. However, his statement to police says otherwise.

He clarified he did call RG. His memory wasn’t good after the incident, but now he can confirm. Not really that surprising considering the circumstance. Says phone records can confirm.

Would they not have the phone records showing one way or the other? I would assume that would be relevant since it was an important part of the narrative that they were on the phone with him.
