Barisone Trial Starting Monday, 3/28

To be fair, if you have spotty cell reception, or whatever, your phone might miss a call. Speaking from rather extensive experience on the subject.

because he could not conceive it was an orchestrated plot to ruin him.

And now I’m about 400 posts behind but in case this is still worthy of a reply:

The bullet is not what bears marks from the gun that fired it–the shell casings are. The firearms examination expert testified that he test-fired the Ruger and compared the marks on the casings it produced when test-fired to the marks on the two shell casings recovered at the scene, and they were a match.

Well MB does know George Morris…

I think the defense attorney could probably make anyone look like a liar for calling the sky blue. Which potentially makes LK/JG testimony appear more reasonable. it is really ridiculous that anyone is going to have a reliable memory of those events. MB has no memory but everyone else is not allowed to not remember perfectly. The whole premise just seems contradictory on the face.

True. But presumably the cell service was good enough that she was able to be ‘reading’ on her phone when MB showed up.

Do we know what time the call to RG came in and how long it lasted? Do we know what time the 911 call came in and how long that lasted?

Sorry. Don’t believe you.

Did she take all horses to Florida or only some? If only some, then at least getting them all back in one place simplifies what would probably be a whole bunch of melodrama if half her horses are “held hostage” in NJ. (sarcasm may be intended)

So ED heard 2 shots. LK had injuries consistent with being shot twice. 2 casings were found at the scene.

So why are LK and RG insisting there was a third shot aimed at him, that there is no evidence of when the other 2 are easily accounted for?

And what about the 4, 5, 6 that had been alleged in various formal interviews and statements?

It seemed like MHG, RC, and JH came across just fine on the stand. As did the trauma physician who testified, and the ballistics expert.

But the lawyer called RG who handed the phone to LK who walked downstairs and out to porch and then several places as ED listened to the altercation… all without a blip. Seems like they had good reception there?

It seems pretty clear that LK is not too worried about conflict, based on the history we’ve heard.

You know, if MB is close to 60, that means he has probably been in the horse business for about 40 years, give or take. And during that time, I’m sure he’s had a few bad experiences with customers for whatever reason. But apparently he was always able to work it out in the past.

So I can imagine him thinking the same thing would happen again, and probably never in a million years dreaming of all the twists and turns it would take as the situation kept getting worse and worse and worse.

They (JH, MHC, RC) are “for” defense, no? So I should rephrase that anyone the defense attorney does not like what they say, he could make them a liar. DA is good at his job. But I don’t know if that makes me believe any of the dust he kicks up.

My DH asked last night if the bullet that hit house was one that passed through LK.
Did they ever analyze it for traces of blood or other evidence of that?

Could be.

I’m just saying I’ve missed a call or two even when I was expecting my phone to work just fine.

then again, it sounds staged at some level.
Driving down the road, having to find a place to stop, calling somebody, searching for the police number, getting a wrong connection, that is 2 minutes at last.
Or more.
Sounds very theatrical to me BANG BANG HE SHOT ME…mic drop…
I would like to see when that call was made
