Because it went missing? What better way to further destroy MHG/RC than by putting their partner in horse ownership in jail too by having their gun involved in a crime?
LOL direct this elsewhere, I haven’t made my decision but I know what I hope the outcome is. Big difference to what many others are posting but I know I’m an easy target. Why do you think I keep asking if they have shown evidence for this or that yet, or confirmed this or that. Im not the one saying “based on openiong statements I think the jury is going to vote innocent” or silly things like that.
The last detective they talked to, was he the one who said he had been out to Hawthorn Hill about 20 years ago because a rider fell off a horse? I wonder if he was an emt then or does NJ take a hard line with horses that toss their riders. If so, I’m sending mine there.
Some guns don’t shoot well. Some are known to jam or have too much kick back or be too hard to shoot. Some guns are old and not cleaned. Maybe that gun belonged to someone he didn’t want involved.
Im interested to hear if they argue about why the gun and what the actual facts will be.
I don’t know much about police procedure in the US and/or securing and analyzing a crime scene, but this just seems really poorly done. So many missed details, steps, procedures, and evidence analysis.
Edited to add: as the perpetrator of the crime or the victim, is be quite disappointed or even rather upset about this.
RND did not “declare him guilty” in the post you quoted. She stated that “the evidence is consistent with the attempted murder charge”, which is exactly parallel to an earlier statement that “the evidence is consistent with self defense”.
Detective indicated that the scene was “not secured” upon his arrival and he “tried to preserve that evidence to the best of my ability while the scene was still chaotic”
Bilinkas is asking him where the 3rd casing is since he was told there were 3 shots fired but only 2 cartridges were recovered.
Just asked him whether the video was preserved, detective said no. Detective said representatives from the prosecutor’s office were also there.
bullets and handgun not submitted for fingerprint or DNA analysis.
Bilinkas asked “did you or anyone to your knowledge get a search warrant to search those vehicles that were included in your crime scene area” “I did not” indicating that two vehicles and a trailer at the crime scene were not searched.
The phone on the patio table is Barisone’s. The other 2 phones were located on the umbrella base (and not on the crime scene diagram?)
Bilinkas has asked if either LK or RG were tested for GSR on their hands. “No”
When asked about testing LK’s clothing for GSR, a debate ensued. Bilinkas was going to withdraw the question and the prosecutor said that the witness could answer. He should have let him withdraw the question. Unfortunately, Bilinkas seems to be failing to drive the truck through the semi-truck sized hole the judge just gave him to cast doubt on the GSR from the clothing.
