Thank you for this information

I totally agree, I don’t think the police did a good job at all, but its not uncommon. Toronto Police are absolutely the worst, however a lot of the time crimes still get convicted. I was curious if the Jury would be more likely to be pro police or anti police.

He knows the Judge will stop him if he ventures to areas the Judges does not want entered. It’s a fine line to walk.

Thanks, I didn’t hear that part.

What about the cop not knowing the difference between a .22 and a .45 when looking at the evidence? Is that weird?

I wouldn’t know.

.22 comes in different sizes. Unless you really know firearms - some Police don’t and others are Ammosexual AF - and handle ammo all the time, you can easily make an off-handed incorrect statement about what’s in front of you.

He had opened the evidence box with a gun inside (one of MB’s) and named it a .22. The prosecution had to correct him that it was a .45. :woman_shrugging:t2:

The prosecutor asked if it was done on the 7th or 8th, and the detective wasn’t sure which of those two dates it was–presumably because the crime scene processing continued past midnight. My understanding was not that it could have been days and days later.

This. Based on the photos, everything in the diagram was still in situ when documented. The approximate locations of medical treatment could be indicated because of the bags, clothing, and other medical supplies that remained. It would not have been good practice for the crime scene officer to guess where the gun was found before it was secured in the police car, and to mark his guess on the diagram.

So the prosecutor wants to get into specific text messages, and the defending lawyer had no objection as long as “we can get into specific text messages”. If the prosecution opens this up, the defense can use that opening to get into text messages.
Nice.

He redeems himself for me with that move. They are breaking to discuss this.

Really. Leading a witness? Interesting.

I thought it was more that he thought it was a different piece of evidence he was going to open and look at, have to rewatch that bit later.

I noticed the passports right off the bat. I wonder what became of all those horses afterwards.

Okay

My guess is they are in Florida with their passports

Ech, that guard standing over MB’s head with his hand on his gun would make me make faces like MBs just for that. I don’t have a poker face, either.
