Wow! We’re on day two of the trial and you make that ridiculous statement. The prosecution is doing lousy job so far other than proving the incompetence of the PD!
In the hearing two weeks ago, I believe the prosecution said they had about 15 witnesses, and they expected it would take about a week to present their side of it. I think she is the fourth witness so far? So presumably they have quite a bit left.
I’ve trained with FEI trainers many times. I’ve also been told that you train nice but if a horse is going to hurt you, you do what you have to do not to get hurt.
That is how I take that comment.
In my own riding I simply do not ride horses that pose that much of a danger. I do not believe with training horses roughly ever at all.
The fact that MHG testified that LK was very much a no-show drama-llama during her time at the NJ farm is pretty telling, especially when combined with her statement that she didn’t think she was a better rider than LK and that people just need to put in the work and time to build their skill and horses up.
I loved that. Absolutely loved that. She said anyone could be a great rider. Anyone. all you had to do was put in the work. Did LK put in the work, she was asked? No, she replied.
She said she didn’t show up to ride. Also, that’s what she said. That says everything.
You can bring a bottle of water into a courthouse. You cannot bring a bottle of soda into a courthouse.
Big courthouses have concession stands in them. Most do not. Mine did not - not the most recent one. Another did.
To enter a courthouse you have to go through a magnotometer like you do at an airport. Except for the shoe part LOL. Every bag is exrayed. So they know exactly what you are bringing in.
Interesting Factoid: Every so often Court Officers go on “bush check”. That’s when the court officers check the bushes outside the court house to look for items stashed by people about to enter a courthouse.
It is quite common for drugs, knives and yes even guns to be found during a bush check and I have personally witnessed the brouhaha of a gun being found.
Plus, testifying is pretty terrifying to the average person so asking a bunch of simple questions initially develops rapport and helps the witness get comfortable with speaking in court before the real grilling starts.
