Interesting. Prosecutor just said that RG and LK had been “hassling” and “giving back” to the defendant and MHG. I wonder if he’s trying to get in front of all that.

MHG and MB had horses together and he’s insinuating that LK was c***-blocked by MHG because of their personal/professional relationship and not afforded any access to MB, access that her father was paying for, with Lauren having been passed off to his assistant for training.

From prosecutor’s opening statement:
CPS came after SafeSport complaint. First encountered MB and asked to speak with MHG. They spoke in the clubhouse (?) office. MB kept coming into the office to interrupt, then asked them to leave and continue conversation elsewhere. Gun safe was later found in office, along with open box of 9mm ammo and a black and pink gun case.

The wow is more that he wouldn’t let them have a meeting, kept interrupting them, asked them to leave. Those are abuser tactics. NOT saying he was one because I don’t know, but those are signs of a controlling individual or someone hiding something. My opinion only.

You are free to think that. I’m well attuned to this behavior so thats where my bias is. Clearly the lawyer felt it was important too. It paints a picture.

When the witness testifies about the gun for the prosecution I’m sure there will be some big leaps about how the gun wasn’t given to MB even though she is going to explain that she did. Even facts aren’t enough for some people.

From the defense opening statement:
MB appeared strong, confident, and in total control on the outside. But he had a horrible childhood during which he was physically abused by his mother and sexually abused by a neighbor. He was in therapy for 20 years on and off prior to shooting.
Prosecutor’s case is flawed. They collected little/no evidence. They ignored what transpired prior to shooting and are now trying to fill in blanks. Only evidence is from testimony of two “alleged victims,” who have lied over and over again, left things out, changed their stories. Their words will cast doubt on what happened and who attacked who.
LK, RG, and LK’s father devised a plan to destroy MB and drive him crazy. LK accused MB of all kinds of misdeeds and criminal conduct, even sexual abuse of MHG’s small child. LK laughed at how it was affecting MB.
MB is not guilty because he feared for his life. He was suffering from a mental disease and did not know that what he was doing was wrong.
