The judge just expressed how important it is that it is to correct them. I think the judge knows more than the posters here about his job? It’s very common in trials for people to object because of hearsay, but most lawyers also understand this and don’t try and keep entering hearsay.

I just don’t think it’s understood here what hearsay is.

He just said its not bad character reference/evidence to LK, it is only simply to show that MB learned about the incident.

Bad character evidence is not being allowed on LK. Only confirmation of the things that took place.

Clearly you are unaware of the existence of committees on judicial conduct and the appellate type courts who exist to correct and sometimes censor judicial conduct.

I once got called as a witness to an action against a judge where the judge ultimately was forced to resign. And he had big Supreme Court plans for his future.

For those who missed it, RC testified that at one point during the days before the shooting, LK was feeding sugar cubes to RC’s horse, and RC was telling her to stop doing that, and videoing her at the same time because RC was worried about her horse’s welfare.

Just thinking back on a lifetime around barns, I can’t even imagine what the atmosphere must have been like for that exchange to happen.

From my extensive law background watching Law and Order, I don’t recall judges being so familiar with a witness. Is it proper to single her out like that, as though they had some connection outside the court?

It was stated by the Prosecution that it was Judge Taylor that dealt with her charges and agreement. So they had met prior for that at least.

Clearly I am not. I am reporting what I see. Has this happened to this judge on this case? No it hasn’t. Maybe if it does, you can report back and share your thoughts. It is possible to share them.

Am I understanding correctly that there was no gun shot residue on LK’s shirt? Would that mean that the shot wasn’t at close range? Or was the test inconclusive?

Also, I reviewed the testimony of MHG and the parts that had audio cut out in live feed are also cut out in the YouTube videos. These parts where where MHG explained what was happening with LK. I assume it was intentional.

I have a question I forgot to ask yesterday. At one point, MB was putting some sort of headset in his ears. Was that to help him hear better? Or to prevent him from hearing what was going on? I couldn’t tell. Does anyone know?

I believe it is so he can hear what is said at the sidebars.

RC had testified the previous day, that’s why the judge was seeing her again!

The shirt sat in the rain for some time, so that may have effected it. Could also be bad testing.
