Someone else said many threads ago that they thought it wasn’t that he was shocked about the recording, he was shocked Mr B had a transcript of the recording. That feels right.

His prescriptions (brought up on COTH by Lauren) demonstrate there was a pdoc in the mix and most do not counsel patients beyond a billable hour (15 minutes). Therapists do the bulk of the work with patients/clients.

I see no point in contacting the barn she’s at. If they don’t know who their client is, or let money talk over having a decent atmosphere, free of drugs and harassment, then they must be totally clueless. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to get her out, with her family doing everything to keep her far away from them, and willing to put money up to do that.

I get the feeling that RG’s usefulness has expired with LK’s clan. One jury already decided they didn’t believe him or that there was any injury or assault inflicted on him. That’s not going to improve, especially if he continues to “slip up.” There’s not a lot he brings to LK’s civil suit, should it go forward, since he’s proven himself an unreliable narrator.

Other than laundry, what really does he do? I can see him getting the boot.

I was speaking to a friend who lives down there and she was quite disappointed to find out that is where LK currently boards as she was considering that farm as she need to move from her current location. Her response to me was “F*** - now I need to find someplace else ;(”

Your friend should contact the barn to let them know why she won’t board there. That would be an acceptable and valid contact, and the farm needs to understand LK’s presence is costing them business.

Interesting that you would somehow know that “nobody is settling with LK”.

Uh, maybe because there is ample evidence that LK caused the mental decline? Face it, this was a loss for LK and her narrative and a win for MB.

You’re going back to the zero sum thinking people have always used.

I think it was a just verdict - it acknowledged that MB did in fact shoot her, but also acknowledged that he was not criminally responsible for the act. He will be committed to a mental institution instead of prison.

Why do you imagine LK would be happier or better off if MB had been convicted on all counts, or convicted on two counts? First, if he had been convicted, he would be appealing and the wound would be kept open for another 3 years, without resolution (worse for both MB and LK). Second, how is she better off if he’s in prison instead of getting treatment in a mental institution?

I think MB and LK both engaged in zero sum thinking in that last week - both had off ramps and ways they could de- escalate, but instead both chose to escalate.

You literally can’t imagine an interpretation of the situation which is not zero sum, can you? You can’t think beyond “If I want to support MB, all I can do is trash LK on SM”.
