I think they expected him to take a plea, therefore they did no prep. He turned down the plea in late Feb and three weeks later, jury selection began.

Is it possible the DA’s office didn’t know about the 19,000 pages of SM postings? And therefore had no real idea of just what kind of people their star witnesses were?

And does anyone know how many times Schellhorn met with LK in person before the trial? Is it possible that during their previous interactions, she had him completely hoodwinked? He was particularly stunned during RG’s testimony - it was apparent from his expression that he was finally realizing he had been had.

Nothing at all wrong with dabbling. I’m very much a dabbler myself. But pretending to have a “career” and elite level potential while dabbling is wrong, particular when trying to squeeze money out of someone based on such false claims.

So…my missing gun theories resulted in comments about guesses as to my identity and attempts to get me to reveal my connections to NJ or FL or being a lawyer.

My comments after the news about RC plea deal about them putting the gun in the safe in the office also got a lot of ridicule from LK or a minion. (Hey, that one seems to have been true so why the big fuss?)

And my suggestion of the reason for maybe having deleted all the cameras is that they show them going back and forth to the apartment somehow when they weren’t supposed to be there earned me the accusation of liar……

I am not at all fan of Kim Kardashian, or anyone else in her family. But I will say that she has managed to become quite successful, which is more than some other ninja types can say.

No it was not for her to sign and it was a bit of time before August 7th. It was for the person she was planning to “employ” (for lack of a better word) to ride her multiple horses.
I would assume (yeah, I know) because she didn’t have the time or stamina to keep them in work and didn’t want JH or MHG or the working students to ride them.

This really doesn’t make any sense….how would liability paperwork for someone else to ride horses be the furtherance on a murder plot for her and RG? She made a big deal about that and the police’s reactions….

Yeah this was the paranoid spiral I vaguely remembered. This is taking a normal business operating procedure into the twilight zone.

What I’m unclear on. Was this a waiver for someone else to ride the horse or for LK

If for LK, why was it being presented at that point? I can believe that LK had been talking about faking an injury and bragging that she had never signed a waiver, and MB getting spooked. But I don’t see the utility in phoning 911 because she won’t sign. I feel like about the time this happened both parties were under some strain, so to speak. I can see where MB calling 911 over the waiver dispute could contribute to the local police thinking he was a frivolous emergency caller.

If it was for another person to sign then LK’s paranoid fantasy here makes no sense at all.

But the episode gives some insight into the mental process here. There was a waiver form in contention, possibly for another rider. LK rolls this fact into a paranoid fantasy about a waiver absolving someone of murder. They don’t, btw. Then she gets hysterical and elicits hysterical behavior from MB and then hopes he looks bad to the police.

I tried to bold the point I want to address. If you listen to the 911 call, Barisone isn’t calling 911 to report LK for not signing the form (whatever it may be). He is calling 911 because LK & RG got verbally aggressive and started making threats. Asking them to sign the form, which Barisone states in the call, is what stated the tirade by LK/RG. Just part of the puzzle that drove Barisone to his breakdown.

He also mentioned that LK/RG possibly had a gun in that 911 call.

Will the hearing still happen in 17 days, even if MB is still in jail? Or even if he is transferred by then, but has had less than 30 days for the mental health evaluation?

I don’t know for sure, but I doubt it. That just sucks for MB.

I keep forgetting that! If nothing else, it was good groundwork for anything Mr D’s team could follow up on.

That could explain LK’ s plan that she testified to under oath on the witness stand to immediately disable any barn cameras that MB put up.

Again, who does that! No one would ever think that it was acceptable for any boarder to remove or disable the equipment of a property owner. It almost makes me wonder if they were telling the cops/MCPO that they had bought the farm….

Don’t forget that RG referred to OUR PROPERTY several times while he was on the witness stand. He was quite adamant about it, too. It does make me wonder what line of BS LK was feeding him to make him think the place was theirs.

IMHO, I believe he repeated this because as a tenant it is your private space. he was basically reiterating the key buzz words to demonstrate they had rights to be there and more importantly record there. I may be giving him too much credit for being clever. But I noted how they would try to get buzz words into their testimony like they were clever legal eagles even though it made them seem slightly ridiculous.

Don’t forget that RG referred to OUR PROPERTY several times while he was on the witness stand. He was quite adamant about it, too. It does make me wonder what line of BS LK was feeding him to make him think the place was theirs.

IMHO, I believe he repeated this because as a tenant it is your private space. he was basically reiterating the key buzz words to demonstrate they had rights to be there and more importantly record there. I may be giving him too much credit for being clever. Good point, although that door and porch also provided access to the other parts of the house, including the common laundry room. So to angrily declare it as “our property” made him sound even more like the blowhard grifter that he is.

But did they actually read them? Or read enough of them to get any idea of who they were relying on for testimony? Or is it possible that Schellhorn was sure he could get all mention of them suppressed in the courtroom?

It would not surprise me if LK and clan told the prosecution (probably several times) that there is nothing in those social media posts that matters and the over burdened prosecutor’s office scanned a few and chose to believe that inaccuracy.
