The only place we differ is that it is clear to me that the NGRI verdict indicates that jury found that he did in fact hold the gun and shoot her and that it was not self defense or an accident.

Where do you get the second part from? While the NGRI verdict does mean the jury believed MB pulled the trigger, it says nothing about the circumstances of the shooting. Since alternate theories could not be presented they were not allowed to consider self defence or accidental discharge. They had to base their verdict on the evidence and testimony presented at trial. They found it credible that he pulled the trigger, period. Nothing more, nothing less. Stop making stuff up.

Edit to say I discovered how/why the mute-ignore changed. One has to select a time limit when Ignoring. I apparently didn’t set it for long enough! Fixed it!

How does a 6’3” man standing on the ground, pointing a gun straight out (as demonstrated by LK on the witness stand) shoot a 5’4” (?) woman in the upper chest/shoulder and have one of those rounds go through the window of the door up off the porch?

What do you think the length is from an arm straight out and the top of your head? A foot, maybe? Assuming that, the gun is now 5’3” off the ground.

It was testified to that the porch had at least two steps. The door had a window that I would estimate is at least 4’ above the porch……

My high school geometry is failing me here……perhaps it failed the MPD, too.

There’s so much confusion about who fired that gun. I wonder if the jury went with NGRI instead of straight NG simply because someone shot LK. I don’t think it’s physically possible for LK to have shot herself. I imagine with their limited knowledge of LK and RG they assumed RG wouldn’t shoot his “loving” fiancé/girlfriend. So that leaves MB.
These are my thoughts based on the lack of forensic evidence.
I remember hearing that LK had taken shots at RG in the past when he was on some sort of 4 wheeler or motorbike, though I have no idea of the veracity of that. If we consider the possibility that she had taken shots at RG, would it be a stretch that he might return the favor? Pure speculation on my part.

If the jury found MB NGRI instead of NG just because someone shot LK, it was a gross miscarriage of justice. The fact that they found him NGRI instead of NG means the jury was convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that he shot her.

There’s really no need for speculation at this point, after the jury determined him NGRI.

That’s not at all what it means. In this case there essentially was no criminal act. This has been explained to you. Again and again.

It wasn’t criminal because the jury believed a preponderance of evidence showed he couldn’t form a criminal intent while insane. They also believed her shot her twice beyond a reasonable doubt.

There was no proof of a third round EVER by anyone other than LK.

I remember from many years ago that LK posted something about “hearing” that the gun “jammed”.

I’m guessing that was the sound of “firing” an empty chamber . I don’t know enough about shooting to comment on that.

Haha. Don’t get me wrong, I love my little dudes with their slinky long backs. But Rosie is not one.

Weirdly, and not in color at all, but in size, body shape and ears, she looks a lot more like my pit bull girl. She’s a true American Pit Bull Terrier, the small, sleek athlete looking dogs. And in 11.5 years, she has never, ever bitten anyone.

No casing was found and the jury believed MB did not try to kill RG regardless of whether or not they believed there were 2 or 3 bullets. There were two bullets that went through LK. There was a bullet that went through the window.

Maybe. It could have deflected bouncing off bone. However, it would have also slowed down so I’m doubtful.
