She thinks that evidence that he brought the gun to the scene is evidence that he shot it. She’s unable to imagine a scenario where someone else might have grabbed it from him, or where soemone might have jumped MB and it went off during the struggle or if the dog attacked or anything. [edit]

Speaking of…remember the recordings…when the prosecution tried to make the case LK and crew keep pushing about getting rid of them etc…they are doing so by using text messages between MB and MHG. MHG was directly asked about “getting rid of LK” and her direct testimony was that yes they were trying to figure out ways to get her off the farm, and she asked when and MB had said Monday. Since the prosecution did not act on this “direct admission” he must have fundamentally accepted that this was about the eviction and not a murder plot.

I kind of wonder if the murder plot narrative was built after the shooting and based on text messages from MHG and MB and not LK’s illegal recordings…

Y’all blame LK for needling MB on social media and causing his breakdown. If you believe that then you have set yourself up as an illegal mob out to destroy LK by needling her into a tragedy.

You go too far. You’ve gone for her family. You’ve changed the story to not fit any evidence. You have done it as a group.

Every once in a while you say poor MB and tell people about the GoFundMe account. Good for you. Great. It doesn’t offset your cruelty to someone who has been shot twice, probably has PTSD, and was already struggling.

What if LK was the one with a diagnosable illness that has been undiagnosed and was made worse by MB’s instability let alone his shooting her? What if MB just faked it? What if he is waiting to get out and finish the job he set out to do? Sure, believe what you want to believe and discuss it but the gratuitous cruelty is a bad look for you. You aren’t making LK look bad. She can do that on her own with her own posts. Your posts make you look bad and cruel and very very imaginative.

When you push people they sometimes push back.

That’s why if you live honestly and don’t run around as a veiled ninja and illegally install surveillance equipment on someone else’s property and terrorize them and their business, you don’t run into these issues.

I don’t actually know. My understanding is that people in the US carry guns all. the. time. Like, it’s literally the #1 reason I will not retire to that country when our time comes to pick a place for our golden years.

So, I do not know the nuances of when people can carry, for what reasons, etc., etc.

I also find compelling the presence of a dangerous dog that had bit someone in only the last 24 hours prior. So I can see that being a reason to bring the gun. If there is a competing compelling reason to have it, even if someone believes her brought it to a confrontation, that suggests it was not only NOT necessarily for the purpose of shooting a person, it could also be specifically FOR the purpose of self defence itself.

I have 2 properties I don’t live in full time. If I had a tenant (and I do have a land tenant) and I need to go to MY property that I rent to them to discuss something, and I armed myself because I felt I was in danger, either from them or their dogs, I don’t buy that my going to MY property to discuss something = a confrontation I initiated.

I’ve been a renter and I’m currently a renter. My landlords have come by to discuss various things or fix something and I always understood that was their right under our lease, since I read my leases. Even without a lease, I would understand their coming to discuss something with me and not even entering the bit of space I rent would not be accurately described as their starting a confrontation. Especially if I had received an official notice that the first stage of an eviction was put in place.

It’s my understanding, as not-a-lawyer, that the self defense claim was doomed if the jury believed that MB brought the gun and initiated the confrontation, even if RG momentarily had the upper hand before any shooting occurred.

But I believe MB shot LK first, within a minute of MB arriving, and RG tackled him after the shots were fired.

Again I am behind by several hundred posts. Unlike you, I read every single post, which obviously you do not, and now there is 2 posts to catch up on when time allows. Currently I am flooded in.

You seem to have forgotten that MB’s phone was on the table with the other phones. The police did not put it there. It was not ever mentioned with LK swapping phones with talking to the lawyer and trying to call 911 and running a circle and going to the house to tell RB not to come outside and bashing MB in the head with her phone.

If MB shot her as you say after a few minutes, then was attacked by RB and put in a choke hold with Rosie attacking him and biting him and LK bashing him with her phone and RB on top of him when the police arrived… …

I have been known to drive around with one of those in my car (yes car).

I only carry a broom and a couple of umbrellas. Oh and a chair.

Some folks drive around with firearms in their vehicles. There may even be hundreds of thousands of such folks, maybe even millions. I guess they are all either murderers, or are plotting murders.

He probably set it down after googling how to clear a jam in a Ruger so he could get on with is plot. RG was certainly gracious in waiting for that.
