Best threads/trainwrecks on COTH?

Unable to sleep and too lazy to get out of bed to grab a magazine, I plowed through the first 25 pages of Jumping Ayrabs last night. Of course, it means I’ll have to finish it.

One of the very first looooooong threads was “Question for Merry,” which was the origin of “jingles” and both reunited and created many IRL friends.

Do a search for the username “Colin”.

Also is the thread with the cored peach still around?

Not a train wreck, but one of my favorite threads:
Bodacious Tata’s

Lunging at Devon will always be a classic trainwreck to me.[/QUOTE]

Wow. And it happens almost as soon as the train leaves the station.

Does nobody else remember this one fondly?

Train wreck: I would say Pinto Piaffe saga. Hmm, wonder what the current is with PP?

Anything shoeless v shod (or shoes)

Anything with ye ol moo-stached one. aka parelli and his koolayd followers.

Also, Linda P’s ebay’d breeches. Good laugh.

And lastly, the shaving habits of the COTHr’s is quite funny. Choose your landscaping for your front yard, or runway type, and everybody has an opinion. Best read while enjoying some boxed wine. Great mood lifter. Verrry funny COTHr’s here.

I loved the Battle Of The Ears thread!

:lol::lol::lol:

hmmm… most of my faves have been mentioned. One “older” poster who always seemed to have trainwrecks was Alysheba. Wasn’t there something about trading erm… sexual favors to her husband for horse related stuff? I’ll have to go back and search.

The Chanter saga was really insane. Wonder where she is now???

Here you go

starring the ever entertaining Alysheba!

There are too many trainwrecks on COTH. Once and a while I will take a stroll through the ‘best of’ threads.

Only problem with going through the trainwreck threads, you come across the banned COTHers and wonder how they are doing. Has life improved for them without COTH???

I wish there was a way we could do a “where are they now” thread like they do for long lost Hollywood celebrities

If you are following the COTH addiction thread, you may realize that maybe some current posters may be after all former banned ones.
Banning never stopped anyone from trying again.
I know of several reincarnations, posters that can’t stay away, banned or not.

As long as they behave this time around, why not?

Oh Dear, and tbtrailrider…

Good point. there are some COTHers I miss… lol.

Not a trainwreck but a great read - novice needs advice on naughty horse. I think I lost 3 days of my life reading that one. And which of us doesn’t wish we could go and visit Anna Crew?

Anything about rider fitness and fat vs fit etc seems to get the train rolling. There was an amusing one on the dressage forum not too long ago…

Speaking of the banned…I miss Thomas!

Oh Certainly… do you have the link to that one? I lost it somehow… darn it all.

and yes Thomas is certainly one I miss. When I said I missed some posters, he is who I was thinking about lol.

Glanced at WTD. I think I could take up that sport.

What did TBtrailrider and some of the others get banned for?

The only great trainwrecks I have been around for were the Aliszja and a couple Parelli threads. Oh, and the recent skittles PE1 stuff.

I’m sure some have ‘reincarnated’ themselves  and houseguests!

Usually for being fruit batting crazy.

A couple of people had mitigating circumstances in their favor, but that only prolonged their misery…

I missed the whole PintoPiaffe debacle as well… i keep seeing it referred to though, and now i’m curious.
