I saw one on favorites where a COTHers had breast cancer and the whole thread supported her… Why was she banned? I think it was Tawana24 or something like that.
OK, please include links to specific posts! Thanks to those who have been doing so already. Because sometimes the “Search” thing-y doesn’t work so well, and I do love me a good COTH trainwreck.
(Some publisher should start a whole series of books that are just COTH trainwreck threads :yes:)
There was a personal grudge between her and another poster and they couldn’t take it outside, so to speak. She also was a ruthless self-promoter and walked a very, very fine line between “news” and “advertising”. She didn’t heed the warnings and ended up with the big “B”.

It had three incarnations.
One started of with something like ‘sad but it’s going to happen more often now’
I had just pulled it up the other day.

There have been so many banned that I forget. Some I miss terribly, some who are whacked and have gone off to be whacked on other boards.
There was some poster who faked having a deadly disease. Cancer, I think. She also faked having a broken neck and was in the hospital paralyzed. A real sicko. I think at one point she was collecting horses through the giveaways section - but I don’t remember all the details. Screen name started with R, I think. Rogers something?

Alyblahblah of the sammiches and BJs, the Chanter debacle, Musical Jumper, and I’ll never forget the poster who stated that deer in Florida NEVER get out of their preserves and run into the roadway to be hit by cars.
I remember telling her I’d love for her to send some of their smart, literate deer who can read road signs up here to VA, since ours are just the run of the mill dumb ones who get splatted all over creation because they won’t stay in the woods. 
Yeah, that’s her! Just taken to the hospital, paralyzed from the neck down - but she had the strength to eke out a post on COTH, holding a pencil in her mouth to type. (cue violins)
I remember the rest of those too - the literate deer, MJ (that was a travesty - can you believe that chick now works with animals professionally???) and sammiches and a BJ. Whenever someone starts a thread about their non horsey spouse complaining about the horses… I think of that poster. Crazy stuff.

You wonder where some of these folks ended up after leaving COTH. When they were here, you could kinda sorta feel like you knew where they were, literally and figuratively.
But where is Alysheba now?
And TBTrailRider?
And Chanter?
And and and…some are fun to wonder about, just idle sillyness. But most of all Pinto Piaffe: she’s the one who is most recent, most visible, and in the most trouble. Convicted, right? You have to wonder where she is now. And is she still involved with horses while wearing rose colored glasses?
I just re-read through the crayola/Help Plz thread. Still makes me LOL! But did we ever get an answer about what happened? Was there a follow-up thread later after the legal stuff was finished? Is Blind Alter still anonymous? Say it ain’t so…
The sentencing called for PP not to have horses for 2 years if I recall.

I know this has been mentioned before, but it is definitely worth taking the time to trudge through all 150(?) pages of the Alisija Granger thread in Off Course. That was one I followed from the very beginning, and I can’t even describe the craziness. :eek: Except that after the first 50 pages or so you’ll want to bash your head into a tree.

It’s “so.” Blind Alter left us hanging, well sitting in our crayola costumes and pointy crayon hats.:lol: I liked the threads where no horses were harmed and good won out over evil. Like the CCT and childinmypasture. Good endings both where horses and horse owners were OK.
What did TBtrailrider and some of the others get banned for?
TBTrailrider got banned for making some really bad racist threads under an alter called alter_shmalter or something like that. Her nasty attitude got her banned.
The only 2 others I can think of off the top of my head getting banned for just being rude, nasty and unpleasant often were Graysandbays and TwoManyDawgs.
