Woohoo indeed and congratulations once again to @LaurieB!
Stepping up to win in open company is huge.

Stepping up to win in open company is huge.
Congratulations to all the owners!
And it was an impressive win, too!
Link?
I am so looking forward to his 3 year old campaign (and hopefully beyond)!!!
And has he not gotten ridiculously handsome?
Race track and number so I can find a link??
Thanks Mara!
He’s an intense colt isn’t he? He looked as if he wanted to go for the colt that was coming up behind him on the outside. 12:41
What a nice win. I thought his jockey gave him a good sympathetic ride.
Beyer of 81, up from his previous high of 77.
They may consider entering him in the Rebel on 2/26. $1mil race with Derby points.
So excited over how well he performed! I’ll be curious to see if they do target him at the Rebel now–it sounded like they were going to if he did well out this race, and he certainly did that.
How cool!
Steve Haskin has him at #14 in his first set of Derby rankings:

Of course, I will never forget Steve Haskin picking Monba to win the Kentucky Derby back in 2008. I guess even the pros get it really wrong sometimes.
He sees the same thing in Chasing Time that I’ve noticed. Our boy has a smooth, efficient way of going, which I fervently hope bodes well for long term soundness.
I just loved how professional he was in his last race. A good brain and professional performances are always among my biggest factors when selecting derby horses. I think it’s way too soon to be talking derby seeing as how he’s never been tried in graded company, but if he steps up to the challenge next time, things are going to get very exciting.
I just placed a Kentucky Derby future wager on a horse I “own” a piece of. How cool is that?
Pool 2 is open through this weekend. You can place a wager really easily through the TwinSpires app. I mean, if the stars align and he is in the starting gate for the Kentucky Derby, their ain’t no way we are getting 20-1 odds.
MRH sent out an update earlier, and the plan is for Chasing Time to make his next start in the G2 Rebel on Feb 26th!
In the entry list for the Rebel Chasing Time and several others have a (L) listed. I would assume this stands for Lasix. However, if you are going for KD points, isn’t Lasix banned? On the CT Facebook page there was talk that the (L) stood for yes, Lasix, but also no Lasix. Which is it? Don’t the KD colts have to be Lasix-free?
Thanks in advance for the reply.
Yeah, no Derby points. I think they are probably just testing the waters here. If he’s really up to it, they can then run for points in the Arkansas Derby. I don’t have a share in him but do have a share in a couple of other MRH, and there has been some discussion.
Where are you guys seeing that he’s running on Lasix? Both DRF and Equibase list no medication for him or anyone in the field. What am I missing?
Somewhere (I don’t know where) I heard he was listed as LX- the abbreviation for coming off lasix.
There is no way they are running him for no points.
