Child in my pasture- WWYD?

OK, gotta try these Mojito recipes.

Oh, and I love me some Leeeeeeeerdammer cheese!

KC, best wishes to you and Farmer Dave. Nasty stuff here.

BTW best if you turn the sugar into “simple sugar” ie syrup first. There is no granuals in the drink then. And you really need a muddler.

I thought you were coloring last night?

Fence fetish. OMG. Fence Fetish. I cannot stop laughing.[/QUOTE]

Wait, weren’t you and Mr. IHF supposed to be coloring last night?

BFence Fetishes. Its all about the poles… er… posts…[/B]

ROFLMFAO… yes a good hosing and a push might do her a world of good. (& a flogging for good measure )

I know there is a collar and a leash in this story somewhere and me thinks the collar belongs on the mum kneeling in front of a stern Master at the end of the leash. I am wicked.

one more song

well, in keeping with the songs to sing on the bus to BA’s BBQ in the state of crayola, and the plane ride with Pilot HunterJumperSC to England to help KookiCat the Cheesewitch dispose of her fence problems, I just thought of a pretty appropriate song to add to those already selected on the other thread:

It was “facination” I’m sure,
Or it might have trainwrecked this thread at the start,
Just one crayon stallyun romance;
Just a cheesewitch’s trance,
And we might have gone on our way to Blind Alter’s,

Now I forget all the lyrics to the real song. duh.

I’m going to have to try the apple mojito - I even have all the incredients on hand. Ultimateshowmom - you have shown your true colours (what colour are you?) Can I come showing with you? Anybody who travels with the syrup made up and a muddler in her trailer must be pretty spot on and organized.

We have a group of friends here - motto is “we take our fun seriously” and when we go out on a ride or other HR activity, we take a picnic. We take pride in it, actually. The Mohito will have to be my new must have.

Just call me Brie (because I am nice and mild).

I have never had one of them fancy drinks, but I always thought from the name they would be made with tequella.

Pssst. . trainwrecks on the dog and the touge tied threads:D

Your basic mojito is basically the same recipe as for a mint julep – you’re just subbing the rum for the bourbon.

I wouldn’t use tonic water in a regular mojito – it may work well with the pear, though.

My personal favorite, though, is a passionfruit mojito. Mmm, mmm, MMMMM.

I hate mojito’s. I just can’t stand the mint.

Thanks! I’m still slogging my way through stick art and need a break sometimes  I’ve been following the dog now I’ll have to check out the tongue thread.

Yabbut - it is my assumption that it is what is drank on trainwreck occasions. You can alter the recipe to suit your taste.

dogs

well according to the dog fighting people in south georgia:eek:
I don’t have a dog in that fight,

meanwhile, no update from KookiCat the Cheese Witch so I hope this means she is safe and her horses are safe and that Rosemary and her baby have left town.

I think a couple of big, scary, snarling dogs would be a good idea to defend Kooki’s perimeter. And that demon child should NOT go to Farmer Dave’s, under ANY circumstances. BAD BAD IDEA.

Hopefully Grendel’s Mother and the spawn will slink back to their cave and leave poor Gran and Kooki in peace.

I sort of lost sympathy for Gran when DM showed up drunk. Just becuase you are old and cute does not mean once you were young and it was your daughter that was a teenage hellion that got preggers and spawned hellion v08,

Gran begot DM, whoith them begot hell child. What gets Gran off the hook?

Nope, KC is the real victim here as she spawned no bad seeds:)

Hey! Quit knocking Grendel and his mom! (after reading Grendel by John Gardner I never could view the story the same way). I vastly prefer Grendel to most of the humans in the story.

Demon-spawn child on the other hand… That creature needs professional intervention of both the psychological and likely chemical kind. One of my best friends is a psychologist who works exclusively with troubled kids and their families. She deals with some pretty messed up kids who come from REALLY messed up homes (the state often contracts out to her for kids SS can’t handle) and even she would be leery about this one.

I hope for everyone’s sake that the mom goes to rehab/jail, the kid goes to a professional trained to deal with this type, Gran & Gramps can recover, and Kookie & Dave & their assorted families & critters never see hide nor hair of the lot of them again.

You know, Equinelaw, you have a point about Gran. That is why I wondered if she had any other children - if she does and they are like DM than you have to wonder what Gran’s parenting skills were like. If she has others who are lovely people, I’ll give her a pass and say DM is the rotten apple that got mixed up with a bad bunch.

It also gave me pause that a grown woman allowed herself to be bullied into driving to a neighbor’s in the middle of the night to facilitate a drunken showdown. I realize she is beaten down with Gramps being sick and all the other drama, but come on. Unless, DM threatened her physically? I don’t know, I don’t get it  My own mother is old and getting frail but there is no way that any of us can bully her into doing anything she doesn’t want to do. In fact, I’d be afraid to try!

Hope that no update means Kooki got that good night’s sleep and had an uneventful day and not that all hell broke loose over there.

I’ve been thinking on these same lines equinelaw. :frowning: I’ve got a neighbor who is a really nice person but has to be one of the runner’s up for the Worst Mother of the Year Award!
She and her husband have 3 children, none who have turned out OK. :frowning: Now granted she and hubby divorced but I’m so sick of hearing that used as an excuse for the kids to go bonkers. I have other friends who are divorced and the children turned out fine. One child was ALLOWED to drop out of school at 16. They left her have her car and she ended up with 2 DWI’s and totaled the SUV. Son got into all kinds of minor trouble running with the wrong crowd and was lucky that all he got was a felony conviction for stealing a bike. He got sent out of state to a trade school to get him away from his ‘buddies’. Third child graduated from high school at least and was 5 months preggers… All the while Mom was working her way up the corporate ladder to become a VP. As the children were growing up, they had anything $ could buy except disciple, responsibility, and attention. :frowning:

Plenty of kids grow up in less than perfect situations and not all turn into antisocial, amoral people.
I think that there are some tendencies there that predispose some to be like that and I think that girl may be showing them to be part of who she is.:frowning:

It is not that a kid has a poor upbringing and bad role models growing up, is what it does with that, that puts them in the “bad news” column.
