Child in my pasture- WWYD?

Have a good trip
Agree. Phoebetrainer, I missed your post. So sorry for all of your troubles, and jingles everything works out the way you want it to!
Have a good trip and board your horses just for your peace of mind.
And so that your SO won’t be driven crazy by your calling every hour to see if all is ok.

KC-the “Surveillance Camera” signs are a good idea, and if you can get some yard signs or decals about an alarm company that would be good too, and fake moving surveillance cameras are available too-they look very realistic and run off of batteries. I hope Mommie Dearest and her kid leave and never come back but I guess that’s not a realistic scenario. It’s good you’re going to board the horses-if nothing happens at your place while you’re gone that’s ok; but if something does happen while you’re gone then they’ll be safe–make sure you tell the trustworthy neighbors like Dave when you’ll be gone and to call the cops if they see anyone trespassing.

any updates?

Any (coughbump) updates? Enquiring minds want to know.

I’m moving house.

Ack, not really, but I feel like it today. I feel like selling up and moving far, far away from the awful brat and her awful mother.

She caught me outside of the shop tonight and we had a huge arguement. I totally lost my temper tonight I’m ashamed to say and said some things I maybe shouldn’t have. Ack.

Horses are going to my trainer’s tomorrow and will stay there until these two have gone.

I’m so over this now. I’m sick of being scared to leave my farm in case I bump into them. :o

Grandad has also taken a turn for the worse again. :frowning:

Shit, kc - I’m so sorry you’re going through this! (I’ve been following this awful saga.) and muchos {{hugs}}. No advice here, but glad you’re sending your horses to your trainers while you are gone.

Im sorry :frowning:

At least your horses are going to your trainers where you know they will be safe. Just remember that you haven’t done anything wrong! It is not your fault that this mother cannot take care of her kid! People like that will look to blame everyone but themselves for their wrongdoings.

Sending more jingles your way, and also for Grandad.

Goodness gracious why can’t these people leave you alone, what does this mother think her daughter is just the little princess and can do no wrong??:no:

I’ve just skimmed through these posts so forgive me if this has already been asked- but would a restraining order be helpful? Obviously it’s not some magic barrier that will stop her from coming onto your property- but if you had a restraining order would that be helpful in getting the police involved for the next time she comes onto your property?

I think moving the horses are a good idea… sorry you have to deal with the little brat and her mother- and also sorry to hear that Grandad has gotten worse.

That really sucks. You should not feel bad no matter hwat you said. No matter how nice you want to be that woman and her child will not repsond to it.

Have no doubts that people all over the world would have said and done worse. Just read this thread!

I know nothing about GB law, but get some sort of restraining order and sue the bitch for all your expenses. That should shut her up:mad:

kookicat—

How bloody awful!!! :mad::mad:

It just shows how low of a human the Mom is and a sad forshadowing of how the daughter may turn out.

Take comfort that your horses will be safe in your absence and your wonderful SO will not have to worry about the horses on top of everything else. I know it sucks to not have them at home, but the peace of mind is worth more.

I would keep a journal of these encounters and call PC Owens EVERY time they happen. It’s very important with everything else that has happened to keep the paper trail up to date and just maybe the local law enforcement will find a way to make her less of a nuisance. I also agree that you need to alert Farmer Dave about your trip, but not the other neighbors, lest the psycho mom and daughter team decide to try something serious (like arson) while you are away.

I’m jingling that this mess will straighten up soon!

How’s PC Owen doing? Is he back on duty already?

Gosh, I hope things straighten out for you, Kookie!

I just added up how much money this is costing me. Without going into details, by the end of this week, I’ll be around £1000 out of pocket from time off work, gas money and board.

PC Owen will be off work for at least another two weeks. :frowning: I’ve tried talking to the PC who replaced him, but all I get is the ‘pat the little lady on the head’ attitude. :frowning: I’m trying to go above him, but it’s hard to without offending him, and I really don’t need any more trouble.

Farmer Dave is upto date with everything that’s happened, and he’s not a happy camper. He has some lovely jersey cows that he’s worried she’ll go after next. :frowning:

Good Lord, what is wrong with these people?!!!:eek::mad:

Thank goodness you have a safe place for your horses to go - but how awful that it has come to this. Don’t feel bad about anything you said I am sure it was well deserved.

I agree that Farmer Dave should be alerted. He and your SO need to be extra vigilant.

The record of encounters is a good idea. Speaking of PC Owens how is he doing?

Poor Gran - I hope that these two take off for parts unknown and that Gramps rallies again.

Too bad you couldn’t sue for the out of pocket expenses - but I’m sure DM has no money and lives by sponging off boyfriends and Gran. But if I’m wrong … Think about a civil suit if you have them there - if ever one was justified, this is it.

Once again, I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

It just stinks every which way. :frowning:

as you in england you could put an injuction on them to stay out of your way
and you can get plod to warn them of if they come back if they pick up anything then its breaking and entering

ie the fence for essample - only know that as i had to odd looking blokes hiding behind my bush on my land once, i was on the lane side and i thought i saw them and i did
i called plod they said they was tressapssing and its a civil matter only if the pick something up could they charge them, so i said surpoding they hit me over the head the lady on the phone said well then you be a 1st call out as in top of the list, i said how could i make the call if i was dead----- um shes i dont know thick or what

Criminal minds

You have to understand, KookiCat, that in the bad mother’s mind, you are the one who is causing all their problems. All of her hostility is directed towards you cause she is blaming you for having the bad kid, for everything that has happened to her in her life and what she feels she is going thru now, plus you have that fence that got her too.
So she has transferred all her hate and aggression towards you. And it probably won’t go away as long as she stays there. Is she going back to the city? This could really escalate to a physical attack. Please carry a camera or a tape recorder with you at all times, so that this won’t be a “she said, she said” situation, and you will have proof to take to the police (constable?) so they will have to act then.
Be careful. Criminal minds work by blaming everyone but themselves, and mom and probably the evil child are focussing on you.

Boy, SSS is really tempting sometimes, isn’t it? sigh—I’m only joking—but this thing just keeps careening from bad to worse. I really hate it when good people have to pay (literally or otherwise) for other pesple’s sh*t.

Mom & spawn seem hellbent on making your life unbearable simply because they’re miserable and you’re not. Reason simply doesn’t enter into the picture, and they’re going to continue what they’re doing as long as it works for them. (I don’t know what measures you can take to stop them, as I am unfamiliar with U.K. law-, but I’d explore every possibility. No is not a word these two understand very well.)

I’m so sorry you have to go through this. Good luck.

P.s. ETA --not to alarm you , but I agree with C&C about possible escalation on the part of the mother. (she seems quite unbalanced.) Continue to document everything. Can you rent security cameras?

Artful

Artful, didn’t someone say that the nighttime cameras at Sam’s or somewhere are pretty cheap? We could all chip in a couple of dollars and ship them over. I’ll chip in. I did forget where someone said they bought theirs, but I think it was Sam’s.

Would cameras purchased in the US be compatible with the UK electric system? Or maybe they’re battery powered, in which case … nevermind.

I’d be really wary of Bad Daughter, especially when she’s liquored up. I’m sorry for Grandma and Grandpa, but I think they need to kick Bad Daughter and her spawn out of their house and out of town.
