Child in my pasture- WWYD?

What a sucky week this has been already.

Grandad has died. :frowning: :frowning: Yesterday at 1pm. Gran and his two nice daughters were with him. Gran is deversated- they had been married for over fifty years. Gran is moving in with her youngest daughter.

Dave and family are fine. He has some new little black cows that my mare is in love with. (She stands and watches them all day over the fence.)

PC Owen has another month off work- his shoulder is still healing.

Drunken Mother and Spawn have left though!! They went this morning. I had to be at work, or I’d have waved at them as they went past.

(Actually, I didn’t want to think about work. Some idiot has driven into the generator and knocked the power out for half for the building. :dead: My job to get it fixed.)

Horses are home and happy. I’m not though- my retired mare had dropped quite a bit of weight. I’m gonna speak to trainer and find out what’s happened. My gut says that she’s not been getting fed any hard feed. Not a very happy camper about that.

How is the invasion of Canada coming along? I’ll take hay and cortaflex in return for DM and S’s home address

I’m happy for you that they’re gone! That must bring you major peace of mind! Sorry about all the other stressful stuff. Good luck!

Yeah! Sorry about grandad and for gran ,but yeah! They are gone!!! And they will never have any reason to come back! Whooohooooeeeee:D:D

Don’t even start any thing with the trianer. You have had enough excitment for one year and she might send you a crayon letter or something:no:

I’m not sure we are still inavading anything. Now that you are safe do we need to invade England?

Yeah

Yeah Equinelaw emailed me that KookiCat is safe!!!
And the bad guys oops women, are gone.
Sorry about grandpa, but glad that everyone has moved. AWAY from KookiCat who can now practice her cheesewitchery without interruption.
Please listen to Equinelaw and don’t fight with your trainer!!! Just be glad your mare is ok, abet thinner. We still have Blind Alter missing in action, and don’t want another crazy trainer to have to deal with. Oh wait, if we can wear the same crayola costumes, maybe just maybe.
So feed up your mare, with all the good Spillers and Bailey’s feeds over there, she’ll look fine in a few weeks.
And relax after you fix the office A/C.
It’s been an ordeal for you and thank God it ended without a horse or human hurt.
Good luck.
Now you may join us for that Canadian invasion or to find Blind Alter’s crayola trainer. Do not send your horses to the CCT!

Scary…this was my first thought too!

KC, prayers for the family (tho I guess there is no tactful way to pass them along without telling them about this thread) and here’s hoping crazy mom & daughter combo never have reason to return. Perhaps Gran will move to live with one of the good daughters?

My trainer and I know each other pretty well. I should be able to ask her what happened without upsetting her. (And the way this year’s going, I might grow wings and fly too! ) I’ll swing by trainer’s farm tomorrow and have a chat to her.

Thanks for all the good thoughts for the family- the church group Gran belongs to is meeting tonight to pray.

So sorry to hear about the Granddad’s passing…poor Gram has had a rough summer!

“Ding dong, the Spawn is gone!
Which old Spawn? The Drunk Mom’s Spawn!
Ding dong the wicked Spawn is gone!”

Kooki~ so glad that perhaps the rest of your summer will be more relaxing & enjoyable! Feel free to cross the pond and join us for BBQ, coloring, and the Canadian invasion!

Oh Kookicat…

I’m so sorry to hear about Grandad and Grans…although I’m relieved for you that the evil children are gone!!! What a relief that must be!

Could you’re mare’s weight loss be heat associated? If it has been as hot there as it’s been here, then I could understand it. Have a nice chat with the trainer, maybe something is going on or she has a reasonable explanation.

So glad to hear that the drama is subsiding!

I’m sorry to hear about the passing of Grandad. :frowning:

But I’m glad the evil family members have left town, and you and your horses and Farmer Dave and his cows are all safe and sound!

I’m so sorry about Grandad, and poor Gran :frowning: Hopefully the nice daughters will be there to be with her. My condolences.

But THANK GOD drunk mummy and evil spawn are GONE!! Now you can just relax and enjoy the rest of the summer, and be content knowing that your horses are safe and sound at home.

I’m also so sorry to hear about Grandpa and Grandma. But more than thrilled that evil child and the drunken Mom have gone and hopefully never ever will come back.

Besides the possibility of heat stress, just the move could have taken the weight off your girl. I’m sure your chat with your trainer will give you a lot of information.

Now, since evil child and Mom have left, I guess there isn’t any need to invade England to beat up said child and Mom. I was really looking forward to meeting KC and PaddyUK and getting some of those lovely leather goods… :sigh:

I guess I just have to focus all my energy on the Canada invasion.

If it is a relief for us it is a bigger relief for you. Rarely has a thread taken on a life of its own like this one did. We all became fond of the whole group of you, from Farmer Dave, Cop Owen, Gran and Grandpa. Poor Gran, wish you could give our condolances but then she’d never understand, would she!! Hope she can become happy and safe with her Good Daughter. Now, for you, your job is to seek serenity again after all the drama and expense. Now, I have an invasion to prepare for…

One if by land, two if by sea:lol:

Oh, heck yes. It hasn’t really sunk in yet that they’re gone, y’know? I’m really looking forward to Sunday, when I can hack in peace!

I’ve been thinking of printing this and passing it on to Gran- what do you think?

Well, if nothing else, it should keep her mind occupied for some time!

Though I don’t know if she would enjoy reading what everyone here thinks of her daughter and grandchild, even if she knows deep down that it’s all true. Poor Gran, on many levels.

At least they’re gone. Phew!

I know it didn’t sound like Grandad was doing well, but I kept hoping he would recover. I’m so sorry to hear that he passed. I think it’s wonderful that he and Gran were married for over 50 years even though that may make the loss even harder for Gran. I’m glad her daughter has stepped up to the plate and opened her home to her mom.

Foxtrot is right, this thread gave us a community we didn’t have before and it was nice to get to know the people there…even though I wouldn’t want to try to explain this whole thing to someone who didn’t post on this bulletin board.

I tried to tell the story of this thread to a guy who is familar with BB culture. You just can’t make it as funny and sad and everything it was unless you were there.

I said " I want to tell you something really funny, but I am not sure I can"

People just get lost by the time you get to the wicked witch of the cheese:)

I’m glad the troublemakers are gone…

But I am SO sad for Gran. I feel like we’ve come to know her (along with Sainted Knighted Farmer Dave), and I ache for her pain. 50 years is such a long time. Do give her a hug from us, KC.

I think it would need some serious editing before you give it to Gran. Like them or not, evil spawn and vicious daughter are her kinfolk and having just lost Gramps … not a good idea IMHO. If you could find a way to work into your conversation that your on-line community heard about Gramps when you mentioned village goings-on and send their condolences? That might be ok…

Poor Gran, it is such a shame that Gramps is gone. I hope that Good Daughter will take care of Gran in a loving way that she deserves.

A pox on Evil Daughter and Demon Spawn.

At least Kooki’s horses are in the clear now!
