The whole time he was hidden under the tarp, someone must have been trimming his feet. They don’t look like a horse that’s been standing still for a long time.

Looks like the nutjob who tortured him cared about his feet. Damned that doesn’t make sense.
Perhaps his hooves just didn’t grow due to malnutrition?
I am very glad his breeder was able to go visit with him. I can’t imagine how badly he feels right now.

That is possible, but the number of half staved horses I’ve seen pictures of with horrible long hooves makes me wonder.

This was my assumption.
He was not walking around, which encourages hoof growth. He was not being fed.
It is not like his feet look good.

Glad they decided not to move him just yet. That had to be heart wrenching for his breeder to see him like that. I hope it brought Asombro some comfort.

No, but after a year I would expect… elf slippers, rings, no feet… something other than slightly long feet.
I imagine the undersides were putrid though.

He moves like he has no idea how to move, which would make sense. But darn he is trying.
