Colvin Civil Suit

A ten minute conversation to discuss why she wasn’t sure who the trainer was with the drug tester? Really? The question is simple, who is listed as the trainer on the entry form? Since she wasn’t allowed to be near the operation, they told her to stay out of the office, she was whisked away when she got too close to the barns, why in the world would she even thought she might be considered the trainer and/or listed on the entry form as a trainer? That makes absolutely no sense.

I like how she said the horse’s jugular veins were compromised from drug testing…
If any damage really was done it’s from stuff going IN, not blood coming OUT

That was my first thought too, although I don’t doubt he’s been tested many times.

No I am not kidding. She is unscathed in that she was not punished other than a small fine. She cares not about what you or anyone else thinks of her.
Interesting. You must know her quite well to make that statement on a public forum.

I’m sorry to hear that you, who seem to have no hesitation in speaking for her, believe that she is insensitive to good people’s opinion regarding her honesty and her responsibility in ensuring the humane treatment of the horses she owns.

I don’t know her at all and just gave her the credit I would give to anyone unknown to me, as human being with a conscience. You have certainly set me straight …

WOW, trian wreck is right!! So not only is Brigid Calling out BP and SR, but kinda everyone else in the industry. I completely agree with bringing attention to this problem, but man oh man, I would not have thought this would come out in this way!
Which one of the documents has that part in it?

Also I wish people would stop referring to Betsee Parker as “The good doctor”, “the esteemed doctor”, etc. She isn’t a medical doctor. Most folks I know who have a PhD or a doctor of divinity don’t run around using their academic title except perhaps on their business cards if they use them or in a bio.

Glad I could help you out.

Did you read the USEF Hearing transcript?
No I haven’t but I think I should as soon as I get a chance.

No honor among thieves

Holy crap. That transcript!
One thing is for sure, neither Tori or her Mother will be able to have a relationship with Dr.parker or SS ever again…thanks to Brigid. What a mess. Brigid did not come across as truthful during that whole mess, if you ask me.

The jugular vein comment was a big red flag for me too. Brigid knows way too much to claim innocence, and it seems that was USEF’s conclusion. USEF was clearly pining to bring Scott down too. I am really happy that USEF is taking such a strong position on the TRO (even referring to the concerns of its membership!).
I am shocked Tori is still riding Parker’s horses; why would Brigid allow kit, and why would Betsee???

Why would Brigid bite the hand of her child’s sponsor???

What does Brigid mean when she refers to ‘whistling’ for Scott?

Aren’t you at all curious as to why Tori’s hunters would be retired? Perhaps because if they were sold to other folks it would come out what their “maintenance” program is. Its not like all these horses are old. I’m a firm believer in keeping able and capable horses in work.

Reading the USEF documents, it appears there was trouble in paradise.

I take it to mean being his gopher, but it’s not a term I’ve heard before.

I think she means cheering at the end of each round by whistling.

I thought that at first but at some point there’s talk of her running and fetching in the context of “whistling” so I took it to mean she basically was hig right-hand-(wo)-man and did whatever little tasks he wanted.

She does not come across as the clearest communicator, for sure. I imagine the hearing was a stressful experience, which may have added to the lack of clarity in her responses.

I’m pretty sure most of the references on this thread to her as such are intended to be tongue-in-cheek … Since the majority of people with Ph.D.'s or doctorates of theology (or anything else other than human or veterinary medicine) don’t refer to themselves as “Dr. _____” outside their academic community

I got a laugh out of Brigid’s comment that GABA doesn’t work on Inclusive. Um…the results from the 2014 derby prove otherwise. I’ve been pretty curious about the GABA test, maybe due to the Serio’s allegations, so it was great to learn USEF got a baseline on Inclusive on the second day of the derby.
The finger pointing about who actually administered the shot, because clearly it was administered, is like a game of clue. It doesn’t make sense that Rivetts would create the Brigid barrier and then do it himself. His admissions that Brigid had no unsupervised access to the horse (even during the walk to the ring a groom was present) certainly helped Brigid’s case. But, he isn’t fighting his penalty so If Brigid wasn’t responsible why wouldn’t Betsee tell him to admit responsibility and protect her?

Brigid’s comments about everyone being against her and Tori and wanting Tori to fail were sad and definitely not how I see things. It seems to me that Tori has a lot of fans and support.

At first I wasn’t sure, but I think she means standing at the gate and cheering at the end of rounds…because you know, that’s super important.

BC’s statement was a bit confusing but I take more comfort in that. It sounded real whereas Rivetts sounds prepared and coached.

The compromised jugular is a huge red flag.

Im also so very curious about the content of Tori’s text that got all BP’s horses kicked out of SS’s barn. That’s a doozy of a text for him to Willingly lose so many winners.

lol. I already said exactly that.
