And for all of those who thought the cautious, the naysayers and the ones who suggested that there might be something questionable about the whole thing were rude / uncaring / etc., maybe the naysayers had heard it all before.
may I also suggest to CH, and whomever else might be named in a lawsuit, to at least copy many of these threads so you have a printed copy of all this nonsense. Perhaps even do a search for her old threads so you can protect yourself in writing.
My guess would be that any judge worth his/her salt would take one look at the demented ramblings and toss out any claim brought forth.

I would hope the barn manager in Florida that was threatened by some thug on Chanter’s behalf isn’t casting about for his own lawsuit. :eek: That was a step too far.
If there was a lawsuit, I would LOVE to go watch the trial (and see the subpoena list)…Could you imagine the plantiff’s atty, calling the next witness to the stand…

I’m a little concerned, no, a LOT concerned, for Chantershelper (and I have no clue who she is) as she is now faced with a real dilemma: getting Chanter to move. So let’s try to see what we can offer her as far as help…it could get really nasty for her and she has done NOTHING to deserve this new problem she has on top of her own weather and move-related issues.
While it might be somewhat funny to laugh at the situation, I’m sure there are a lot of people out there with hurt feelings right now who might no appreciate the humor…
I know this sounds mean and snarky, but I’ve been quite happy that things didn’t work out for her to come up here and I hate that things turned out the way they did. This probably isn’t the first time, one of hte things that made me really question Chanter is she’s very manipulative and her manner was very savvy of having been through the pity me I need help deal before. I bet she’ll move onto another board, another handle, and be begging again in no time.

Actually, I think, unfortunately, CH is going to have a hard time finding other living/work arrangements for her. All of those people on the other thread that were willing to help, are now scared off.
I think CH best bet, might be to contact Social services in the closest area, and see if they can offer temp housing/job placement.
Why on earth is it CH’s job to find Chanter a new place and job? I don’t believe for a minute that Chanter is as helpless as she’d like us to think. she wants someone to do things FOR her…woe is me, I have a disabilty, I need help, life sucks. Crock of s**t. Suggesting she try a certain place or agency is fine and if it comes down to it and placing her yourself, CH, is the ONLY way to get rid of her, then go for it and bless your heart. But I do NOT see this as CH’s responsibility.

My thoughts exactly. Chantershelper, you have gone above and beyond for a virtual stranger. Not many people would extend themselves the way you have. I’m sorry this didn’t work out for you, and wish you and your family all the best as you get settled into your new home.

I don’t either, but if you are trying to get someone to leave, short of eviction, she might need to be able to say “Here is social services ph #. They have an apt avail. You need to contact them today, and be out in 2 weeks” or whatever. If she waits on chanter to make arrangements, it may be a long wait.
You are right, jetsmom. It won’t be easy. I just hate it for CH who has really been a good samaritan and now has this hassle…finding a place for the horses might be the sticky part.

If Chanter is on disability then sometimes social services will remove the horses as assets. Depends on the individual case.

So there is question about the type “service” dogs hers are. As is there question about her “disability” in general. Instability does not mean brain injury.

When I spoke with her she advised me she got a monthly disability check, so I believe she’s on some kind of disability.

I did some asking, too, and siezure dogs can be unneutered, but a Shih Tzu siezure dog?

I wonder how many opportunities Chanter is going to squander out of (insert favorite description here).
I wonder whether CH will extend a helping hand ever again, to someone in need.
And I wonder how many of us reading here, are going to be as willing to help the next situation? Probably not many, that is the disservice that Chanter has done to this BB.
