Doing business with JILL BURNELL? BEWARE.

Should add, they were not in the same year just in case people are wondering. Trust me I questioned myself enough about being able to properly care for and raise babies.

For someone who keeps being adamant about not knowing Jill, not being a horse person, just going to Jill’s with a friend and not defending her…46 posts later, here you are! I can’t think of a non-horsey man in their right mind that would post 5 times on this thread let alone 46. Wouldn’t your efforts be more productive on a board or forum defending, say, innocent victims of pedophiles, innocent victims of sexual abuse or serial killers? Since you’re a football coach and at least have some knowledge in the area of sports and coaching, why not help support and defend all of the kids out there who have been sexually abused by their sports coach. Wouldn’t that serve a much better purpose than this?

Seriously, this is the cause you decided to put all of your efforts into? Even I admit it’s starting to smell in here. I cry bulls#$t on the, “I’m just a guy that followed a friend to a farm.” If not, and this last statement is true, man, you got way to much time on your hands.
I love you, Daventry. That’s all. Carry on.

I keep my dead birds in freezer, but WTF do I know???
lol

Equilibrium, I completely agree. I have lost a few horses over the years, and nothing is sadder than knowing what is under the blanket, waiting to be picked up. To have three foals lying under a blanket? I can’t imagine, because unless Jill did in three at the same time, they died at different times and are there because they weren’t a priority to move. But, dead chickens in the house weren’t important. Such total indifference makes me sick to my stomach.

to whoever is asking, i would conclude that after this thread and countless others you can find here, via google or facebook, doing business with JB or GFF is certainly a risky one. There are numerous substantiated issues (via warrants, judgements and firsthand accounts), that clearly she has soured the equestrian community with her business practices. I would find it easier to believe, given all the information that one can find regarding this issue, that these well respected horse people have truly had issues with her business-financially and otherwise- than believe that these same people all got together and decided to gang up against JB for no reason other than they are jealous or threatened by her.

If your girlfriend or anyone you know is considering purchasing an animal from her, I think people on here have laid it out pretty convincingly that the woman has a serious history of shady business practices. Are some of the claims wrapped in emotion? I’m sure they are. business or not, these animals are parts of our families. But the basis of the claim is still valid, and the evidence is right in front of you.

Make your own decision, but take heed to what these well respected horse people are telling you…

Regarding the dead foals - one also wonders if Jill herself was at all concerned about WHY they died. Or did she just go on with her normal activities of hoarding, acquiring more mares, processing semen in a filthy lab, spreading EVA, and ripping off buyers, breeders, vendors, trainers, and registries.

As for Eagle - he may be an officer, but he is certainly not a gentleman. I suggest everyone put him on Ignore.

Excellent summation of what is important!

Nice! So you start with 3 dead foals under a blanket, then think about what you posted after people are horrified thinking “how did 3 foals die at the same time and why was she storing them there” and redact it to they weren’t all in the same year. A little late wouldn’t you say as the damage has already been done!

What happened to the poster in regards to the drugging accustions? Why was that post edited? Remember, it’s all public record and as much good intentions you guys had, trust me, the backlash most likely isn’t going to be good!!!

You apparently have problems with reading comprehension, Mike.

She was talking about two of her OWN foals, not the three belonging to Jill.

So tell me again, just who is jumping to conclusions?

Eagle Mike, buyer be ware!

Is your GF thinking about buying a foal or buying a breeding from one of her stallions?

Finally, this pretty much sums up my trying to be logical on this Board. To the poster that called Airline Pilots drunks and so on; thanks a bunch! Since my name is out there, someone states all pilots are drunks, what happens now when someone who may have read this string is flying and hears "commanding this flight today is Capt ( my name ) ?
Then the person says “hey, I heard that guy is a drunk” so now I’m removed from the flight ( happens more often than you would think as they take it very seriously ) and the investigation begins, and I have to now defend myself which is a long and ardous process. You guys get it?
You’re the one that put your name, phone # and occupation on this board. Don’t cry foul now!

If you sleep with dogs, expect to wake with fleas…

Eagle, in case you were wondering you have succeeded in your mission to get on my last nerve. If your story is accurate in that you just stumbled upon this because of your girlfriend and felt the need to post over 50 times, it is very strange. If it is a bunch of BS you are a troll. Either way you are going on ignore.

No not really. I know how people think. You say you’re not a horseman. You have no idea how you handle dead horses. Full grown 1500 pounders need heavy equipment to get them moved. Dead foals however do not. You get them out of there. Three in one day is excessive if you have 200 horses. You really don’t have a clue. And as I said, I ripped myself and do this day, 4 years later, still have guilt over the last one. But I feel things and my heart makes sure I feel things.

I have something in common with JB. Equine reproduction has been to both our places so I’m not just random. I have family on this board too. I’d you’d like to see the thread about what happened to my foal it’s on here I believe. I think it was entitled " don’t think I can take the pain anymore". Don’t know if it’s still here or who commented on it.

You can lash at me all you like. I’m most certainly not perfect nor do I pretend to be. Like I said, you can’t beat me up anymore than I already have.

Terri

And another one on Facebook, looking for papers on a purchase. Sad.

Still need papers on Rioja … Please let me know what I need to do to get this done!!
Tracy,
Can you (and anyone else who comes across potential victims) please refer them here and especially ask them to PM Equinedriver? We really need to gather a list of as many victims as possible as quickly as possible.

um, you may want to read for clarity. Equilibruim was talking about HER OWN 2 foals not being in the same year.
Should add, they were not in the same year just in case people are wondering. Trust me I questioned myself enough about being able to properly care for and raise babies.

Eagle: Have you talked to Jill since this thread started?
Simkie …or foals were dying and she couldn’t afford to pay the dead stock truck…or they wouldn’t come because she already owes them too much without payment!!!
A dead foal can be taken in a horse trailer, or just the back of a p/u truck, not just left for days. I am really having a hard time dealing with ANYONE having multiple foals die within a short time, and not immediately taking it to a vet for necropsy?

Yes. Foals just don’t die in groups unless you have a HUGE problem.
Sounds like JB needs a good ol fashioned southern style ass whuppin.

I feel for all you folks but I wouldn’t have let it get this far. I would have been on a plane and in her face. Not living in hindsight…just sayin. I send you money and you send me nothing ? You would have to deal with me personally shortly thereafter.
The part that really sucks though, Bayhawk, is that YOU would likely have ended up arrested for assault and labled a random loon far and wide. I thank God I have nothing to do with this personally, because I would have been sitting in jail next to you;) The most effective fighters in this seem to be the people who have come forward to say - "While I had a successful transaction will Jill Burner; I have now come to believe that she is a crook b/c of x, y, z. " Strangely, the non-victims initially got a lot more traction than the victim; but that has all changed now and I hope victims will keep coming forward to share their stories and take a stand to put her out of business and in jail.
I agree. I would be there with my lawyer, all paper work that was between us, and be contacting the cops on my way there. I don’t know about anyone else by $500 is a lot of money to me let alone $2,000 to whatever else she owes some people.

Equine driver, you are a saint for dealing with this and for helping people with putting a case together. Good luck!
I would ask you to read this thread re: Rapazzini09

Honest, law abiding people start out with an inherent disadvantage when it comes to dealing with crooks — until the band together into a determined and growing goup.

Does anyone know the status of Equine Driver’s efforts?
