The Nielsens had Escadrille, but I think they got her through Timmy. I think he had her before that. She was retired and had several foals at Sunnyfield, one of them Sandy showed with limited success.
Was anyone else at Boulder Brook the morning Timmy was on Escadrille and got kicked by another horse and broke his leg? This goes way,way back!

Who rode The Godfather internationally after Diane Grod?

I will never forget the year the tents blew down at AHRC. We had upwards of thirty horses there, and shipped them all commercially to Hugh Cassidy’s. Turned around the next day to go back, set up the entire barn again, and show the next day. No sleep at all for days, which was the norm back then. Emmett knows! I look back and have NO IDEA how I orchestrated all this and kept going on so little sleep.

Famous stables?

I think Weatherford may have gone to the meetings in Austin Tx. Was hoping she could fill us in. Guess we’ll just have to be patient.

Who is the grey, mare, small junior, who was beautiful and won quite a bit, but could be rather nasty on the ground and was shown by two sisters in the late 70’s to early 80’s. One of the sisters still rides and is married to a fairly well known horseman.

Due credit to LP.

Alex, right era, wrong sex. Try a male rider.

Drum roll for Alex whose thread will soon be 50 pages!!! Thanks again for the great idea.

Too easy, Tim Kees. And no, I can’t believe it’s been twenty years, and I’m sure Timmy can’t either!
