"DOUBLE JEOPARDY!" - Old Horse Show Trivia

Beats the heck out of me!

But here are some guesses on the others:
Medrano - Anne Kursinski & ?
I Love You - Norman Delojo, Big George & Little
George
Liran - Michael Matz (HOT)
PS Gazpacho - Terry Rudd
Janus du Ver - Louis Jacobs
Zulu ??? Hap?

What about the large bay that Winn Reed Alden, Katie Huber and Vanessa Haas rode…I remember it’s barn name as Timmy and Pam baker trained it. Kevin Bruce and Susan Prter owned it oringinally. Wasn’t that the late 70’s and early 80’s too?

NO NO NO to yd!

THINK…who have we mentioned often, and wonder all the time about and don’t know where she is???

Ha Ha Abby! I got THREE NOs!

Keep going Rexford…there’s more… On Tergonwell that is.

This brings back so many memories that it’s old picture time again.

And to go along with the topic, who recognizes the trainer that’s fixing my pony’s tail?

Stupid, stupid me! Posted three replies about the same without even trying! Guess I’d better get back to work. sorry!

last seen wandering around Nimrod Farm…

Lauriep gets a shot at this one.

Hint of Lemon?

What about who was Calligula and what crazy horse related thing did he do??

Looks like Lucie again at the top of the line, although I don’t know the pony. The second pony might be one of the Guyers, although this picture might be to early for that. They had a fat chestnut pony we called Cheese. I don’t remember his full name.

In my experience, bad weather, or more often a sick horse…

One for the hunter folks, since I don’t have a prayer of guessing the jumper one: name 4 people, in order, that showed Gozzi, 2 pros and 2 juniors.

Name the rider(s):
Icey Paws
The Roofer
Boston Taxi
Viscount
Felton
Signal Point
Linky
Rio
Victor

… was named Fool’s Gold…

It used to LIE DOWN at the ring all the time. As if it were a goat! It was perfectly healthy, just liked the easy life.

The Maclay winning horse’s name is mentioned in an old thread that just popped up. The trainer’s name has also been seen on the BB VERY recently.

Foreign Exchange, PV ?

Who are 3 ex-Grand Prix horses that showed in equitation finals (not Johnny’s Pocket, previously mentioned in thread)?

OOPS. Reread the ? You want the hunter. Well, I think that would be Amabette. Only trouble is Amabette was a gelding. Can’t think of a mare right now.

Oops myself - guess I’ll have to throw in the gin sing knives. I was thinking of Amabette - could’ve sworn it was a mare.

New one, new one…question that is…This is very good for the brain cells, even tho it takes bout 4 cups a java…

Do you guys know of a hunter (chestnut) named All the Brass? Supposedly did very well in the 1980s or something? Maybe 70s?

WAIT! WAIT! I forgot to correct Nutmeg.
I Love You was ridden by NDJ and then GLL, Jr. (who I don’t think got past schooling jumpers with said horse!).
GLL, Sr. did not ride. Just wrote checks.
Sorry Nutmeg. You’ll have to buy the next round o’ drinks.

Alex,

I gues it goes to show that SOME amateurs are more amateur than others…LOL!! So there really were THREE Bay ponies with that claim to fame, and two were in the barn ou used to be associated with…

P.S. Indiana Jones was originally shown by Nicki Winters (?), her parents bought the pony for her then Winn and Katie showed it after her.
