the horse that I was thinking of, but I guess I was under the incorrect notion that Martha and Emily Wachtel showed her when they were at Hunterdon/Beacon Hill. Oooops!
Here’s another one and I am certain of this one. A small junior, chestnut gelding, who was almost equally as mean and in his later days sported a nasty looking back ankle from his run in with a vaccuum cleaner.
I just thought it could have been either Buddy Brown or Leslie Burr as I think they also were riding as juniors for Winter Place Farm when Jimmy Lee was training that string
What horse, while still a second year horse, won three of four over fences classes at New York in the A/O hunters?
What horse won the fourth class?
Hint: I can’t remember the name of the other horse either, only it’s rider and it’s color. But I’ll know it when I hear it!
<we need a new bamboo>
Scot to Do came from Jimmy Lee’s barn and was ridden by, um, Jimmy’s rider. Why do I think that was Marianne?
Now THAT was a great horse!
Of course, THAT part of my brain is empty, so I don’t remember ANY riders.
Deeridge?

How can that be? McLain St, the horse, was from the '60’s. McLain the child was a product of the '70’s… No?
Why the flame-haired Julie. They were matching chestnuts.

Terry’s trademark. well, all I can think of is black undies (or none) under white breeches.
Brenton Reef- Terry Rudd
That was good. I thought I might get you on that one. Hmmm. Have to think harder to stump you, I reckon!

Funny you should remember Terry, as she only rode PT in FL at one Tampa show and then the Invitational, as Rodney had Dutch Crown to ride that year.

When I read Prime Time I somehow remembered a picture of Terry with Prime Time (can you tell I am a visual person?). Totally forgot the Traurig connection until you brought it up.

I knew a woman had ridden him at one time! Did RJ, too, ever?
Nations Cup: Was it Frank Chapot?
Kevin Bacon: He was in Holland last time I worked there, training and selling young horses, doing horse dentistry and making Kevin Bacon foot stuff which was wonderful. When he got bored he’d take one of the young horses out, teach it to fetch his hat, then teach it to jump a jump with the hat in its teeth before returning… even if the jump was WAY over there. He’s as funny on the ground as he is in the saddle!
Think Emmett has it with Charlie Weaver. Now for the horse and the year hmmm…Could I please have a double expresso? LARGE
