But on behalf of anyone who every trained with Bob McDonald I am assuming that Fun and Games is not the same one who was in California with Kim Ostman.
Diamond Exchange!
A good equitation horse is a wonderful thing! Glen Owen, French Leave, Grappa, Diamond Exchange, …
Would your real name be CS??? That is who had Count Tuscan when I rode at Nimrod in the '70’s. She bought him from (Arrrgggghhh – senior moment here – ) the girl whose father is big into playing polo and owning steeplechase horses…
I do remember CT’s big hind ankle – never know what that was from. What a nice guy he was.
I thought all the questions referred to Em.
Thus I meant Em ran the Fairfield since 1945
I’ll take a stab at these:
Riot Free was ridden by Patty Heuckeroth.
Royal Blue, Gary Ryman, then with, I believe, Winter Place, so I’ll guess Katie Monahan in the Ladies to Ride?
He owned Marianna ridden by his daughter Sara Nan-he also rode Spanish Mint in the conf for Mrs Rucker I guess maybe Gene Cunningham might have ridden Patty
's horses at upperville? What state was Mrs.Rucker from and where were Betty and Navy Commander based
STILL no takers on the Katie/liver chestnut jumper question? How easily you folks are discouraged!
Laurie, I emailed Lori G. in France (she works for Katie) for the answer. Is that cheating???
My friend’s favorite horse was unbraided, poulticed, wrapped, and pulling out of the driveway at the Meadowlands when the judges realized they had lost her number.
He got the “Indy 500 pit crew” tack up and braid job, and the kid finished third in the class. He ground tied in the parking lot for the excitement- that’s why he was the favorite.
Off course- Sara Willeman did that, but not in the 80’s.
I think her name was Yvonne? or something like that?
Okay, Who was the first woman to ride for the United States in the Olympics???
Jaysee-
We went to a lot of shows on L.I., but the one before the Hamptons was C.W. Post.
Answer from yesterday, the horse that James Hulick won the Ox Ridge Grand Prix on was Willie Wonderful.
What infamous “lady” (what he called her) and current eq guru was Seaweed the right hand man for over the course of many years? Hint: think cross-disciplines. Name her and/or the family.
This thread has gotten over 30K hits, what’ll happen when it hits 100,000? Will it roll back over to 0 like a '70 Nova?

Can we add FARNLEY to the list?
Racehorse: Jaipur
Family name: Whitney
Import: Grande
You’re so damned good on most of them, it is OK to miss one now and then! And you got the main part of the question.
Can you think of many imports earlier than Grande? And I mean European, not the occasional Argentinian (hint) or Mexican that crossed our southern border!

Considering the checkered pasts of some of these COTHHEADS, I’d call it Survivor!

Alex? Is this the longest running thread? And has it had the most “views?”
Has it hit a record for most lurks?
Okay Alex, we’re headed into the weekend, it’s going to be a loooooooong wet one. We are in need of some brain work…???
Lord Helpus, that was my division back then. Most of those kids rode at my barn–as did Marvin Van Rapaport–and the rest were friends of mine. Sad to say (aging myself now) that I remember them more vividly than I do most of the people I showed against this past weekend.
Lauriep – Don’t know the horses names, but wasn’t Conrad 14?
Extra credit for knowing where he won the Maclay Finals.
