Was it Lindy Patrick, trained by Jimmy Williams?

Alrighty then:

Arrivederci, aka Ciao, came from Ellie Lordi to Fox Hill in '84. He went on to win all over the place for the Lindners, then for Jane Clark.

Next?

was Ronnie Silcox, who would go into one of Tommy’s stalls that he was mucking, hide under the straw banked along the side, and jump out at poor Veile when he came back into the stall. How Tommy never had a heart attack is beyond me, and why he didn’t figure it out, with all of us lurking around to watch is also amazing!!

Barney showed successfully in grand Prix and then Let Alice show in Juniors

Bernie
Thom Hardy?

I’m having a brain #*art right now. Need more coffee.

Who Started 'Em ?
Terry Rudd - Dick Atkinson
Wendy Wanamaker Hendriks - Junie Kulp
Debbie Stephens - was trained by ADOLPH MOGAVERO at one time , but Idon’t know who started .

Idle Dice was bought off the racetrack by a Pittsburgh, Pa. Professional. He was sold to Libby Slaughter ( a client of Danny Lenehan) to be a field hunter. He was a little too enthusiastic for that job, and Bernie Traurig bought him.

And for VTrider: winning pony for Sheila Motley, Liza Towell and Paige Johnson.

Welland Valley Early Bird?

Would that be Rivet?

Thanks - Re: Alexa…where have I been?

Don’t feel bad- I’m too young to know most of these, and I’m probably 20 years older than you!

How are my friends Petey and Casey? I rode Petey over the first jump of his life many years ago.

My trivia question: name horses who won major GPs with at least 2 different riders.

Bonus points: name horses who won $100K classes with different riders.

Name a successful working hunter who later had a mildly successful career in the preliminary jumpers.

Was that the very small, but cute Motor Mouth?

Janet,

Someone finally asks a question that I can POSITIVELY answer (McLain St.) and you exclude me. Not fair!

Many people have named animals after people, but how many have named their child (McLain) after their favorite horse? LOL

Next question: Who owned that barn on Rt 22 and Guard Hill before Barney and what was the name of the barn then? (This is a slight trick question – the person who knows the exact answer probably lived in Bedford during that time.)

(And who was riding through the arch into the stable yard of said barn when she first heard the news that Kennedy had been shot? — Answer: me… Don’t we all remember where we were at that exact moment?)

[As an aside, I was riding when I heard about Kennedy (and was told by the head groom, Fred). I was driving to ride my horse in Ca. when I heard about the Challenger disaster on the radio and I was on my way to the Keeneland Yearling Sales when I got a call on my cell phone about the attack on the WTC. Seems like I am always involved with horses, only the technology of the communication of the information becomes more sophisticated…]

OK for you S Salem people: Who owned Fairweather Farms in S Salem and what was the maiden name of the man’s second wife and the name of her nice junior horse?

Shorty -

A current Grand Prix and Pony Hunter pair:
Sundance Kid - Laura Kraut
Sundance Kid - Lydia Beresford (large ponies)

Right horse, wrong rider. It was Kip Rosenthal.

What was Leslie’s original name, and why did she change it to her mother’s stage name?

More trivia- a friend of mine is Leslie’s mom’s next door neighbor in Wellington. They discuss gardening sometimes.

Was the horse Hulick rode in Jumpers Quietism?
I believe he was by Set-U-Bal?
