"DOUBLE JEOPARDY!" - Old Horse Show Trivia

I knew that name sounded so very familiar!!! Geeeeesssssh Shorty, you are taxing these old grey cells

Imagining Junie driving a dump truck, well am hanging onto the table. That had to be remarkable in itself.

Was it Harry Gill, Junie was in business with??

The grey horse that Alice purchased and showed in the juniors is Luger, I’m almost positive.

Yes! That was quick!

Katie, Emily, and Martha Wactell. !!! I don’t think i spelled their last name right. It doesn’t look right but you know who I mean.

Don’t forget the sewn in bridle, I want to say double or pelham…yes being old means forgetting somethings in the mid-late evenings. I hate to admit it but yes I do remember the. Oh and the sandwich had to be turkey, NO MAYO, just plain with the crusts trimmed…or am I now confusing this with the side saddle class???

Showjump beat me to #2 - I’m pretty sure the horse was Lemon Springs but I can’t remember the rider - broke the horsey color barrier in hunters -very exciting at the time.

or am I ineligible?

Since it is nearly time to go home, the answer is AJW, Scott Nederlander and Christian Currey.

BTW, this is a FUN thread. Anytime you can stump Emmet, you’ve got something going!

I am gloating that I correctly guessed Scott Nederlander - haven’t thought of that name in years! LOL
And I can’t believe Emmet is STILL stumped by the bay horse w/Rodney that did the a/o’s with a now pro in Pa…give up?! LOL

If I have to explain, you wouldn’t understand…

Yellow dog, “can’t remember why, where or when”
I’ve had a lot of those since this thread began!

at work, that is! Blah!
Plain Jane - ?
Idle Dice - Luke Ragland
Southside - Georgia Dunaway
Balbuco - Jr. Johnson, moi
Riot Free - Betsy and Dennis
Chase the Clouds - Dana G.
Sloopy - Peter Z
Mainspring - Dennis (USET’s Dennis)

Emmet’s favs - she had more than one, George Weber being one and Number One Spy being another, Tindle, Flipper, the list goes on…

Laurie

Was is Leslie?

The pool does sound much better, come to think of it! Oh, towel boy…

Sort of like YellowDog was named after Abby!

Okay Alex, we’re in need of another mind boggling question from the archives… Have dibs on MHM’s library…

answer, but since I didn’t know the horse’s name, I didn’t post! Darn!

Laurie

BRENDAN’S RIDERS - Rodney Jenkins &
Jimmy Kohn ( Jimmy was second in that class - a great catch ride AND catch rider ), are correct.
Now you need the last two -
1 man & 1 woman, both of whom rode him in Gran Prixs.

This one was too easy for this group! Chris Wadsworth always wore yellow shooting glasses.

I remember Erasthones (sp?), though I don’t remember who rode him. BIIIG horse. But they were based out of Sunnyfield at the time.

Huh? Not while I was there. Do you know about this yd?

were (are) good friends of mine. And if you’d asked me who their junior hunters were, we’d have had a “nick.” But the day I left Equinox in 1976 was the last interest I took in ponies!

Not to bring a bad subject up, but here’s one which is relative to the above. What trainer was set down for “medicating” what jr. hunter in 1978?
