"DOUBLE JEOPARDY!" - Old Horse Show Trivia

I’m stumped!!

But I will pose of question:

the first trainer to have Ruxton.

I may not always win, but I will always try to win.

Riders at Windrush, Melanie and Katherine?
It’s way to hard on my brain to come up with any horses, but did they have Dark Sonnet at the beginning?

AAAWWWW, Anyplace – that one HAS to be easy — Ian Millar with Big Ben and his tiny little groom…

Jane Womble… Can’t think of the others.

Yes, solid bay, with one of the LONGEST heads I have ever seen. Was kind of the USET “school horse.” Wasn’t he also an off the wall breed like Standardbred? That is running through my mind…Tommy Viele took care of him, and Frenchie too.

Frenchie went to Europe with us in '78 - I THINK he bowed a tendon while there, too, if memory serves me…maybe at Aachen???

Morrissey’s
??
Ox Ridge

Bernie Traurig as a hunter, Buddy Brown with the uset

How did you come up with this list? I’ll do the ones I know…
Goodnight Moon- Tracy
Outlook-
Play the Music-
Hard to be Humble- Jerry Jacobs
Watership Down- Karen Nielsen, in his prime.
Romparound- I should know this, but I don’t.
Gala Performance- Leslie’s first junior hunter. Where did you pull this name out of? It’s ancient!
Bugsy Malone- Molly Ashe, in his prime
Shakespeare- a junior that road with Norman, I can’t remember her name. Karen? Syd worked for her.

That's the best I can do.

Who was the work boot wearing, pumpkin headed streaker at Washington that year? And who owned the horse he rode? And NO his last name does not begin with a “Z”.

Albany’s groom in LA- David Snyder.

Who won the Medal finals the year that Peter Wylde won the Maclay?

…What was Dana G.'s FIRST dog’s name?.. ABBY

OK. What was BRUCE BURR’S dog’s name (70’s?). You know-- wandered all over the show grounds…

correct on the Medal Finals at Bloomfield and Steve Hawkins-that was the hard one-Now how about the Maclay?Hint two judges one ia a trainer who judges a lot and the other one writes a lot

I don’t believe Neil ever won a Medal Finals. He did make the cut and probably got a ribbon, but didn’t win.

YD… I looked after Walter when Louie got him… I have a great picture of him (somewhere) at the IJD on the table … upside down all 4 legs in the air… dunno where Louie went!!! As I recall, they were both fine… crazy lil’ Walter…

If I have to explain, you wouldn’t understand…

was in the process of being a police horse by the time I became cognizant!

He was the only police horse to show in different disciplines at Devon. Conformation and mounted police horse ride!

Peter is ONE of the three. The other two? And the really BIG class and rider?

wtywmn4, wrong on RJ.

It is taking FOREVER to get a reply screen to come up! Can you believe this thread is 79 pages long???

that I am going for a specific point in the horse’s career when he was owned by a famous person and who rode him at that point. Kus was no longer showing, I don’t think, but Terry may have ridden him. It is two males I am after.

Laurie

Ok girls what is the answer!!

Funny, I showed Count Tuscan and well remember the ankle, of course, but I don’t remember him being mean at all.
