Here’s a tough one and will show who the REAL trivia fans are: Two bays, one a TOP a/o mare in the 70’s, winning many times at Indoors and probably more championships than any a/o horse before or since; the other, with a related name, out of the first horse, also champion many times in the regulars in the '90’s. Both trained by the same trainer.

From the first Windrush tour… Melton Mowbray (I have been told you would not remember the others).
WR’s first jockettes: Melanie Smith and Ellen Raidt.
Alex… your turn…
…hmmm… jumped as a five-year-old… no mention of a ribbon.
VIP? (I can think of only 2 riders, so I doubt that’s him)
Abdullah?

OOPS. Alex answered this. Duh.
Abby and PA Adult already filled things in partway.
Small pony model:
- Moon Comet, owned by Syndy Paul, ridden by Cindy Wiener
- Cockscrow Flair, Lucie McKinney
- Chantilly, Syndy Paul
- Driftwood, Gail Hulick
- Midget, Nancy Baroody
Large Ponies:
- Springledge Irish Twig (Twiggy), Lindsay Dugan. And yes, she was subsequently protested and measured out. I believe it happened about a year later.
- Pride 'n Joy, Laurie Snyder
- Rebel, Judy Korn
- Chimney Sweep, Cindy Wiener
- Prim 'n Proper, Debbie Cahn
How about Alex Foreman
bump!
Laurie

Is that the same Watership Down Megan Johnstone (now Lamaze) showed in the Juniors when she first started doing the 3’6"?

Yes it is.
<<How can that be? McLain St, the horse, was from the '60’s. McLain the child was a product of the '70’s… No?>>
Lord Helpus is correct with her dates.
And Barney and Kris always said that they named McLain after a friend named McLain. Not the street or the horse.
Abby gets the official captain’s hat and jacket!
Ira will be scratching his head wondering why so many people are asking about his mother this winter!
Now if we’re talking hair, Terry didn’t have one long blonde pony tail, she had two! (See picture below) For a while, so did all the rest of us kids in the barn and we all looked a mess.
lauriep,
Another suggestion is that if no one answers within a reasonable period (say 1/2 a day) - just give the answer and assume you’ve stumped the panel!
For the hunter set: grey horse owned by a/o rider, in the '70's, shown in the regulars with Don Stewart training, Katie riding. Hint: owner still showing in the a/o's.
What was the name fo the beautiful stable George really started his business, what town was it in and what was the name of the lady that owned the farm? Hint. The stable has the most beautiful rolling hills around it.
Can’t believe I had to call back to the barn for this thread. LOL.
One of them was Kim’s Song. I can’t remember the name of the other one.
I believe he’s ridden on more NC teams than the Whitaker brothers. Last time I saw him ride I think the announcer said it was his 115th NC team appearance. He’s probably been riding in NCs longer than many of us have been alive!
Chapot was a pilot too (USAF)
I have a question for you. Is there an article about you in this week’s (11/24) Blood Horse? If so, it’s great.
Margaret, Thats the horse I couldn’t think of. I think you are right. Hopefully Alex will come back and let us know. Lord Helpus probably knows the answer too.
Hint: One of the first trainers of TTS was related to RJ.
Nutmeg, I guess BB would have ridden Touch, but that was not who I was thinking of. Think of before Touch moved to RI.
