"DOUBLE JEOPARDY!" - Old Horse Show Trivia

Betsy (Mackenzie, Riot’s groom) and I must have been the only ones to watch! It was CONRAD!! First hunter in MANY a moon that he had ridden. And he did a pretty fair job, too, as Riot wasn’t an easy ride. Do I get a prize for stumping the contenders?

Dodge Girl, Winter Place is long gone.

Just to see if the youngsters have been paying attention…
What was the “barn name” for “I Love You?”
What was the “barn name” for “Chase The Clouds?”
What was the “barn name” for “McLain?”
What was the “barn name” for “Idle Dice?”
What was the “barn name” for “Balbuco?”
What was the “barn name” for “Jet Run?”

First correct answer (for all of 'em) gets top deck cabin (next to Emmets).

Afraid I’m stumped on the jumper question Laurie.
Here’s a hunter one though: Very successful bay mare owned by Mrs. A.C. Randolph who went on to become an equally successful jr. hunter. Name horse, pro rider, and jr. rider.

Sorry but it was Kinm Rahuba (?) that was at church. Now that should seal the 21 day cruise to the Amazon complete with Cabana boy, Massuse (?) and handsome drink Gopher!!! Not to mention first class and at the Captains table every night!!

correct.

Abby graduates June 1st. Congrats Abby!
And yes the degree (in medical field) will get used, I’m sure.
MB -you want yer cruise through the WPB canals?

In honor of Abby. Trivia for Friday:
How are Bruce Burr and Leslie <Burr> Howard related?

Well… I was referring to AHRC in Syosset. I won’t ever forget the year that a lot of the tents blew down… that was scary!

If I have to explain, you wouldn’t understand…

Guess again.

No clues this time, either. He’s too famous and nobody follows my obscure trains of thought anyway.

P.S yd- check the lipstrap thread again.

Pony Breeders in the 1960’s – What about Tanracken Farms, Mrs. Waller? She never used a prefix that I can remember, but she had Chantain and some other really fancy stallions and bred some high quality ponies.

Tampa, the old GP field. The hunter ring was on the other side of the lovely canopied area!

Most World Champs - Germans

Most World Champs - individual, I would have to say Paul S. and Deister.

No, not Vicki Hanson, but a good guess. Although the Patty H connection is there. One more hint: this female was working for Hill Top at the time.

I’ll check in tomorrow with the answer if no one has it by then.

LaurieB - I need to see the Bloodhorse article ! Been in Fla .
Thanks, Shorty

MargaretF, you are of course right re the Cards, but I made it too easy w/the Perfect Stranger clue! LOL
brilyntrip, far too easy: Debbie Willson and Market Rise? LOL
And the answer to your earlier question: Pnut Painter?

Robert and PATRICK, twin carrot tops.

No guesses on the Rockbottom question?

Laura Tidball Balisky won the Medal finals on what horse (1981)?

Followed in 1982 by Sandra Nielsen.

Who trained both riders?

(can you believe it’s been 20 years!?)

Also Kitty Beveridge-Barker.

And I agree. Injun Joe aka Nautical.

Snowman did come from an auction but I think it was Bunchy’s.

Here’s one that Shorty must give others time to answer before she does. Who was Hay Hook?

Yes, it was Bunny and George Weber who won three of four jumping classes at NY that year. She was second in the fourth class. That class was won by Hoodwink ridden then by Carl Linder.
