Dressage attire guidelines

Only if it is “subtle” and “tasteful”!

You can, however wear a super shiny jacket, just not a saddle pad!

Burgundy (and other color) coats have been allowed for quite some time. I’ve seen French blue, brown, beige, green, etc., before the rule change.

So i have this jacket and I’m really looking forward to pairing it with dark grey breeches to match the piping.

Beautiful jacket!

Yes, I just haven’t bought one yet. I’m still wearing the black show coat I won 10 years ago.

Did you tell us what make it is and I missed it? If not, please tell us now.

It’s this:

AA Motionlite Primatova. I didn’t know that by looking at it - you can cheat and click the original image and the original file name seems to be the jacket model.

I want to plug one of my fav companies: Stockbubble.

Now with the new rules there is even more reason to get a custom stock tie to complete your matchy matchy outfit!

She has made me three custom ties to match each of my horses. One is covered in blue and red heelers, another flamingos lol They are really tastefully done though and look amazing. She can do a lot of different patterns and if you find something you like she can likely do it.

Great company, product, and service.

This is the one she made of Heelers for me:

I shared that guide on the Region 3 facebook page, and I got a note asking me to remove it because it was a draft. So, perhaps they will clear up some of the more confusing parts as noted here…

I wonder who sent it out if it is just a draft? And why does it not say draft on it?

I’m planning on getting one of those pin-on number holders designed for pads, and using that to cover the tag.

Mine’s an older Asmar jacket but if you can find it, they’re good & cheap now.

As far as my helmet, right now, just a default charles owen but I have plans, oh yes, plans for matching helmet & blinged out custom boots! If only my wallet were a big as my plans :stuck_out_tongue:

If it’s from a certain virtual series  it should be fine - the logo is well within the EC rulebook’s limit of 200 square cm:

ARTICLE E 17.2 EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHING
Riders may have logos on their shirts, jackets, saddle pads and ear hoods.
The maximum area of the logo is as follows:

  1. 200 square centimeters on each side of a saddle pad (maximum one sponsor’s
    logo per side).

From the EC dressage rulebook - I don’t see it mentioned in the eventing rulebook but they defer to dressage if there is no change for eventing.

Please, someone make this! I just had time to review the changes today and have reached out to my volunteer orgs to start getting some scribe time in this summer. Can’t wait to see everyone’s fashion faux pas this summer!
