Why does Charlotte hold that little stuffed horse all the time? Kind of silly for a WEG champion on a podium receiving her gold medal…
JUST to aggravate you. That’s why.

really? I mean that’s what you want to say about them at this point? rolleyes.
it’s their team mascot- they have some fun god forbid…
It’s the WEG mascot, not a team one… I sure did not see any other medalist carrying it or other team member… whatever
There was a reason why you were on my ignore list… back you go

I just asked a question… and frankly dressage puts me to sleep…so won’t be watching much of it anyway, mascot or no mascot
Too bad you linked to something totally unrelated at Rolex…
So what? It’s related to the question.
The chinchilla isn’t a competitor’s mascot that gets carried around - it’s Eventing Nation’s mascot that the reporters will take around.
Anywho…
Just watched Laura’s ride, and it was lovely! Fluid and mistake free - I can’t wait to see what this pair has in store in the near future!
And I want to ride like her when I grow up (even though I’m older than she is!).

Kim Severson’s team had a sock monkey they used to carry around and take pictures of at various events.
I can’t believe we’re talking about this.
On on unrelated note, I just looked at the start list for eventing dressage and they’ve actually labelled the Test Ride “Guinea Pig”.

Thanks for sharing.
Sooo…prepping for the freestyles tomorrow.
How is the ride order determined for the freestyles? I looked at the order on the WEG site and I wasn’t sure how it was determined. Not that it matters hugely…just curious.
Aren’t they taking tomorrow off and going for the Friday night thing? Give the horses a day off.
Oops! Yep…that would be the 29th at the top of that page!
So…for Friday’s freestyle…anyone know how the ride order was determined? Or is determined at FEI competitions?
Today the commentator gave a bit of info about how ride times are determined for the freestyle. I think it was just after the last rider went, if you want to try to find it on the replay. Here’s what I remember…they split the riders into groups of five based on scores, and then draw for rider times within each group. Please correct me if that’s not right. Thanks!
Just watched Charlotte and Laura’s rides - both lovely. Still looking for the video of Steffen.
Its a silly little thing, but I really like that Laura strokes Verdades after the ride instead of slapping him on the neck.

I’m going to forever have trouble not calling it the long program… this makes it even worse since it’s the same basic method! Thank you for sharing the info, and NorCal for posting the actual rule!
It’s probably better for me that I can’t watch this all due to lack of high speed internet…

I can’t imagine showing up on a Golf forum to whinge about how boring it is.
…i.e. the five (5) best Athlete/Horse combinations will start last.
And look who is riding just before the top 5:

What an illustrious group to be lumped in with!
IMHO, Laura Graves had a lovely ride, and hopefully she and Verdades have a long career! I think as she gains more experience she’ll be pushing for that extra bit of ‘brilliance’ that will give all the top international riders a run for their money. Looking forward to seeing more of her!
I always love watching Steffen Peters. He always looks so quiet and smooth.

That’s what I do on the cricket forums.
